As stated in my previous article, Montreal is booming in the arts and culture department, especially in the music industry. Hip-hop pierced the market in the last few years throughout North America and has become a big subject in our modern times.
Luckily, Montreal is following the hype and providing us with talented artists from the east to the west of the island. Let's explore them together -
Mobile pro is only 18 years old, but already killing it with his amazing sounds. Mostly published on Soundcloud, the young artist is booming through his low toned, fast paced hip-hop.
Naadei just released a track featuring none other than 2 Chainz. Wait, say that again? 2 Chainz?! Yup, that's right. The track was also produced by one of the top producers in the greater Montreal area, High Klassified. Naadei places the bar high for other artists in the city.
You probably saw this artist performing in Kijiji Adds that went viral a couple weeks ago. He's been around the cameras a lot more lately and publishing wonderful tracks produced by the top producers in town. Have a listen.
Keeping it very low key, Gabe Nandez is slowly working his way up the charts with incredible sounds and a smooth voice. Listen to Gabe on Soundcloud below.
Originating from the greater Montreal area, Rowjay brings a whole new genre to French rap in Quebec. A mix of the best trap in France and the best trap in Atlanta. Listen below now!
Flemings is working very hard right now in the studio to provide Montrealers with sounds that are out of the ordinary. Check out his soundcloud below for some top notch hip hop.
Green Hypnotic is a veteran in the industry. With dozens of tracks out, he likes to take his time to finish off his work and release it properly. Whether you love the sounds or not, you're bound to love the man.
Released not even 10 days ago exactly, Brown Baby is the first track/video of ''BROWN'', a group formed through family. Snails from Dead Obies, Jam from K6A and the father of both talented individuals comes in for a beautiful jazz/hip hop vibe. Listen below !
Dead Obies just sold out a show last night. Supported by Wasiu mentionned above, the show seemed to be extremely hyped for performances practically featuring only hip-hop artists. A beautiful thing to see in our city.

Not too sure if I even had to mention the leading hip hop group right now in French rap in our province. With tracks overing around 400 000 views on Youtube, LLA is a veteran in the industry and a master at what they do. They're actually performing at Le Métropolis TONIGHT !
