1. Nora Gray

2. Joe Beef

2491 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest

Who hasn't heard of Joe Beef? It's actually ranked as Canada's best restaurant and #81 in the World. Owned by David McMillan and Frederic Morin, this place is literally the crack spot for food. It doesn't even make sense.

3. Park

Park is not your usual sushi restaurant. It holds this lofty vibe, but is located in Westmount, right off Victoria street. Unlike the usual sashimi and nigiri menu, you can actually enjoy beef teriyaki and their speciality black Angus steak. If you're lucky you'll even catch chef Antonio Park, in the midst of creating his masterpieces.

4. Le Bremner

361 St Paul E.

They've got Chuck Hughes. You know... the star of the cooking shows: Chucks Day Off, and Week Off. He's also the owner of Garde Manger. Try the crab cakes and kimchi, the oysters, and the hake and clams. Scratch that, just try everything.

7. Le Fantôme

1832 Rue William

You won't be ghosting this one. Owned by new Restauranteurs Kabir Kapoor and chef Jason Morris. It's got a cool hip artsy vibe, and the beef tartare is out of this world.

8. Foxy

1638 Rue Notre Dame O.

Olive & Gourmando's new restaurant. Interesting fact: Foxy is the name of the owners Dyan Solomon and Éric Girard's dog. They cook everything on a wood fire oven. Home made feta, flatbread and meats smoked in house are some of the specialities to look out for.

9. Lapin Blanc

4456 Rue Sainte-Catherine E.

White bunnies are the tastiest. Chef Simon Touchette will feed you oysters until the wee hours of the night. They've got bunny wings (yes, you heard right), and killer carrot cake.

10. Montreal Plaza

6230 Rue St Hubert

New restaurant alert. Montreal Plaza has been open for less than 3 months and it's making noise. From Chef Charles-Antoine Crête and partner Cheryl Johnson. It's got a killer atmosphere on St Hubert's traffic-driven street.

Follow @davidalexxander for more food references, he's got them all.
