We all love a good basket of strawberries in the summer to start a refreshing day! But, sometimes we get a little unlucky at the grocery store or market. So instead of inspecting every basket of strawberries (like we all do) why not pick your own!
Near the greater Montreal areas, there are multiple farms that offer strawberry picking! It's a lot similar to apple picking but instead of climbing trees, you're on your knees.

1. La Ferme Quinn
2495 Boulevard Perrot, Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot
La Ferme Quinn opens up their strawberry picking season in the last week of June until the second week of July. Their strawberries are absolutely delicious and as sweet as can be. Not only are they yummy, but their strawberries are so fresh and organic that you can eat them without even rinsing them!
They even offer a large variety of strawberries! They have the V151 strawberries that are vibrant red and very firm. The Honeyoye that are large in size that are used in baking and for making jam. They also have the Kent strawberries that are juicy and perfect for a large range of eating! And we can't forget the Jewel strawberries! They are the largest and have a great self life!
Admission is only 5 dollars and all are welcome! I suggest picking a day that isn't too hot since you will be in the sun for awhile. So don't miss out on some yummy strawberries!
2.Verger De La Savane
8000 Chemin De La Savane, Saint-Hubert
For all those strawberry lovers, take a 30 minute drive out to Verger de la Savane! They also provide strawberry fields that are ready for picking! You can come without reservation during the high time of strawberry picking, so from the end of June to the beginning of July.

My personal favourite is Fraisebec! They are best known for their strawberries as they are strictly a strawberry producing farm. They have a large variety of strawberries that range from those summer strawberries to fall strawberries. They are only 30 minutes away from Montreal!
They are labelled to be the "Canadian leader in the strawberry industry" according to their website. So, I would trust them greatly with your strawberry desires. FraiseBec continues to research new methods to grow and produce yummy organic strawberries. So check them out for great quality strawberries!
4. Anse Au Sable
2565 Boulevard Perrot, Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot
Anse au Sable has been running since 1980 and focuses on fresh fruit with great service. They have strawberry picking from mid-June to mid-July and also sell great home-made products. They got freshness down packed and you should really check them out for some of their great strawberries.
5. La Fraisiere Rou. G.I
970 Route 235 Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge
Open every day of the week, La Fraisiere Rou. G.I has great strawberries that are ready for you. Their strawberry picking season begins the 24th of June and ends around the 10th of July. You can bring your own baskets and prepare for a delicious afternoon picnic!
6. Ferme Roland Cloutier
855 Chemin Fresnière, Saint-Eustache
Don't stress if you missed the strawberry picking season at the other farms! Ferme Roland Cloutier offers strawberry picking from June until September.
They have big juicy strawberries that are always ready to be picked! So come and enjoy the sunset over the farm as you admire the strawberry fields while enjoying some nice fresh strawberries.
7. Les Fraises Louis Hébert

For over 50 years, Les Fraises Louis Hébert has been picking strawberries amongst many other fruits that they grow. They said that if the warm weather continues, we should all be able to start picking strawberries by June 20th. They have over 25 acres of land and are open everyday from 8am to 6pm.
They have seven types of strawberries; Sable, Kent, Clé des champs, Chambly, Glooscap, Jewel, and Bounty. I strongly recommend them! So get ready to pick those strawberries!
8. The Berries & Blooms Festival

If you and your friends are up to it, you guys should definitely take a road trip to the Berries & Blooms Festival in Ontario. It occurs in June and the PickYourOwn organization has been doing this festival for over 40 years. It's definitely a place to be for fresh strawberries!
9. Paradis Des Fruits Dunham
519 rue Bruce, route 202
If you want high quality fruit from a farm that knows what they have been doing for over 50 years, then Paradis Des Fruits Dunham is the place to be! They are perfectly bilingual and they have over 100 acres of land where they have strawberry fields and honey hives.
It truly is a fruit paradise as it is located next to the wineries in the Appalachian Hills. It is simply an hour away from Montreal and it's a cite to see with great strawberries!
10. Vergers Pierre Tremblay et Fils
375 Rang de la Montagne, Mont-Saint-Grégoire
Strawberries are their speciality! They have been growing strawberries for over 20 years and they have over 1000 strawberry plants. They are open everyday from 8am to 8pm and are ready to help you pick strawberries during all of June.
