A cuddle a day keeps the doctor away.
10 Reasons Why You Need A Cuddle Buddy In Your Life

If you're a single person in Montreal, like me, then you should totally consider getting yourself a cuddle buddy ASAP. According to urban dictionary, a cuddle buddy is a person you cuddle in a completely non-sexual way. No relationship, no problem. There should be a mutual agreement that the cuddles are strictly platonic and the two of you are seeking mutual affection, nothing else. Why would you need such an arrangement you ask? Here are 10 reasons why you need a cuddle buddy in your life.

1. Winter is coming

Brace yourselves, cold winter days are coming. There is nothing better than cuddling someone when it's freezing cold outside.

2. You can actually "Netflix and chill"

"Netflix and chill" is actually "Netflix and chill", nothing more. In addition, movies are a hundred times better and more interesting when you're a big or a little spoon.

3. You get all the relationship perks without the headache

Let's be real, cuddling is one of the biggest advantages of being in a relationship. Oh and, you can do all kinds of other activities with your cuddle buddy. You guys can eat together, watch movies, talk... you can do anything, really.

4. Cuddling is good for your health

Did you know there are actual health benefits from cuddling? Yeah! According to research, cuddles are associated with higher oxytocin levels, lower blood pressure, and even a lower heart rate.

5. Cuddles make us happy

If you're sad, a hug will put a smile on your face in no time, everyone knows that.

6. Cuddles help us destress

You know when you're super stressed from school or work, the answer is - cuddles! Researchers from University of Wisconsin have found that cuddles reduce cortisol levels, which, in non-medical terms, means that they help us relax.

7. Cuddles boost our self-esteem

The logic behind this is the following - if someone wants to spoon me, it means someone needs me, so I'm not completely useless. As a consequence, you feel better about yourself.

8. You won't feel lonely

Obviously, because cuddling involves another person, duh! Nobody wants to be lonely during cold winter nights, right?

9. Cuddles feel amazing

Honestly, cuddling feels freaking amazing! If you don't like to cuddle, then you're just a bad person. Sorry.

10. Ok, it could lead to more...

Fiiiiine. Cuddling could totally lead to more, you perverts.
