10 Ways To Have The Perfect Summer Day At Piknic Électronik
The Piknic season is in full swing, turning Parc Jean-Drapeau into everyone's favourite dance party destination every Sunday Funday all summer long. Now on its 13th consecutive year, Piknic has evolved into one of the world's premier events, and just keep on growing. While dancing is pretty much the essential requirement for a successful day, there are a few other ways to make sure your Piknic Electronik experience is absolutely perfect this summer.

1. Get educated on the lineup / schedule (DJs)
You might be one of those people that doesn't care what music is playing as long as it's sounds good, which is a great attitude to have, but it never hurts to take a minute to check out what Dj's are playing, and more importantly when. With two separate stages with two different vibes, missing the perfect set because you didn't educate yourself first is no bueno. Besides, smart is sexy. 2. Buy your tickets in advance to avoid the line-up
This might be a no-brainer to a veteran, but it's still worth mentioning that Piknic Électronik is a massively popular event and packs up quick fast. There's no bigger mood-killer than having to stand in line for an hour in the heat.

3. Instagram your best Piknic pics to win FREE tickets for the following weekend or even a trip down south to continue your summer!

4. Wear sunglasses and comfortable shoes
So just to be clear, Piknic Électronik is literally dancing in the sun. To enjoy said dancing in the sun to the fullest, it should go without saying that sunglasses and comfy shoes are a must. You know, unless you plan on spending the whole day sitting in the shade, in which case, you might be in the wrong place.

5. Make sure you have cash
While there are ATM's available, all payments on the site are cash only. Make your life easier and bring some paper with you.
6. Charge your phone battery
Ya ya, you're there to dance your face off, ain't no one got time to check their phone, but you will need a charged battery if you get separated from your friends and to take mad pics to win those free passes!
7. Choose your crew wisely
Of course you love all of your friends equally, but just some more than others ;) Some like to rage, others like to chill. All we're suggesting is consider what you're feeling for the day and choose your entourage accordingly to maximize the good times.

8. Don't throw away your cup / bucket
Piknic buckets are perfect for sharing and make the perfect souvenir, that's for sure, but did you know they were also eco-friendly? Glass is a big no-no on site, which means that drinks are served in plastic. So save a tree and recycle/reuse your cups.

9. Grab your favourite drink or bottle to sip on all day long
You're probably wondering how you can get a bottle when glass is frowned upon at the event, but you know you gotsta have that vino, that's why you should nab yourself an official Barefoot Wine pouch to fill up with your favorite bottle of white, rose, red or bubbly, stress-free. If wine isn't your thing, they also have plenty of beer from Sapporo, Pabst, Sleeman Draught, to Blanche de Chambly!
10. Be sure to bring a sweater if you plan to stay all day
While you will probably strip off all your clothes during the day as the thermometer rises and you got your fancy footwork on full display, but once that sun goes down, things can cool down quite a bit. If you plan on staying into the night, it never hurts to think ahead so you can be nice and comfy dancing under the stars.
