Pasta is honestly life. It probably makes up 2/3's of what I eat throughout the week, on any given week. Maybe I shouldn't be admitting that, but it's just true. I love pasta so much, and I know that I'm not alone when I say that. What's not to love?

You might think you have to travel all the way to Italy to have some seriously amazing pasta, but that's not true at all! Montreal is home to some crazy pasta restaurants. With our very own Little Italy, you know there must be some real Italians living in the city.

Little Italy is home to so many great pasta joints, but there's actually delicious pasta restaurants all over the city! If your date is a pasta lover, you've got to check out some, or all, of the places on this list with them right away!

1. Impasto

A homemade pasta joint located in Little Italy. You know you're bound to get some amazing pasta when the word is right there in the name of the restaurant! Every dish is authentic Italian with their own special twist on it. Try the lobster spelt Pappardelle or the Spaghetti alla Carbonara!

You're in for a treat at this spot, pasta lovers. Another amazing spot with homemade pasta, located right in the downtown core of Montreal. Try their classic Putanesca, Penne with truffle cream sauce and sausage, or their Gnocchi in a tomato basil sauce. They also have some delicious risotto like their seafood risotto!

Three words: Oh.My.God. This pasta is seriously out of this world amazing, just look at it! Located right by Mile-Ex, you need to come here as soon as possible to get your pasta fix. Try their traditional family recipes like their trippa della nonna or their crazy dishes like the squid ink risotto!

An honestly amazing pasta joint. You've got to come here and try their specialty, chicken parmesan with penne on the side! Or try their trio pasta which has Tortellini Cardinale, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Penne Arrabiatta, for when you can't just choose one kind of pasta. This restaurant is also BYOW so pick out your favourite bottle and enjoy a perfect meal.

Featuring some amazing classic Italian dishes such as their sausage stuffed zucchini flowers and their tortellini stuffed with caramelized onions with pancetta and clams. You'll be awestruck by all of the amazing flavours!

A classic Italian restaurant, which will make all you Italians out there feel like you're back in your Grandma's kitchen. The head chef is Emma herself, giving this restaurant a homey feel. The food is also to die for! Try their unique caprese salad to start, Fettuccini Funghi Porcini for your main, and then their homemade tiramisu for dessert! You'll fall in love for sure.

Located on the bustling Bishop street in the core of downtown Montreal, Restaurant Da Vinci is one you definitely shouldn't overlook. The pasta here is all amazing with classic recipes like their Talietelle with mixed mushrooms and white wine sauce, bow-tie pasta with smoked salmon and risotto with shrimps, scampi tail and asparagus spears!

This restaurant also has a bar/lounge to have a nice drink while you wait for your table.

Another restaurant where you can get 3 for 1 pastas!! It comes with spaghetti with garlic and olive oil, medallions with tomato sauce and ravioli with rose sauce. This is one place you should definitely bring an indecisive pasta lover.

Located right in the Old Port, this is a classic Italian joint in the perfect location in Montreal. All of their pastas are named after areas in Montreal, which is super cute! You can also get a trio pasta here called Trio Saint Denis with their spinach cannelloni, cheese tortellini with cream sauce and pesto spaghetti.
