A new month means new shows and movies on Netflix, and we've got the scoop on some of the things you can look forward to in a couple weeks when May begins.

From a new true-story mini-series to new seasons of Netflix faves, May is sure to be a good month.

May 1, 2019 - Knock Down The House

A Netflix Original documentary on the various politicians and changemakers seen during the 2018 U.S. congressional election. Figures include Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, Paula Jean Swearingen and more.

May 2019 - Rim of the World 

A Netflix original film about four misfit teenagers who join forces to save the world when an alien invasion interrupts their summer camp. Starring Lynn Collins, Michael Beach and Tony Cavalero.

May 3, 2019 - Dead to Me 

A Netflix Original Series starring Christina Applegate as a "tightly wound widow" who becomes friends with a "free spirit," played by Linda Cardellini of Freaks and Geeks fame. Other notable names include James Marsden and Max Jenkins.

May 3, 2019 - Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

The much-anticipated film chronicling the crimes of Ted Bundy, played by Zac Efron, told from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, played by Lily Collins.

May 3, 2019 - The Last Summer 

A Netflix Original film starring KJ Apa from Riverdale, Tyler Posey from Teen Wolf and Halston Sage. The teen rom-com tells the stories of a group of friends together for their last summer before college.

May 3, 2019 - Tuca & Bertie

A new animated series starring Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong as two bird-women that live in the same apartment building. I'm thinking Broad City but animated and... birds. Bird City? Guaranteed to be hilarious.

May 10, 2019 - Wine Country 

A Netflix Original film starring Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch, to name a few. A trip to Napa for a 50th birthday celebration becomes tense as the past comes back to the forefront.

May 21, 2019 - Wanda Sykes: Not Normal

A Netflix Original Comedy Special sure to be hilarious. This is Sykes' newest comedy special in three years.

May 24, 2019 - She's Gotta Have It

A Netflix Original Series based off the Spike Lee film of the same name is back for Season 2. DeWanda Wise plays Nola Darling, a woman with three lovers living in New York City. The series is also directed by Spike Lee.

May 24, 2019 - The Perfection 

A Netflix Original film starring Allison Williams of "Get Out" and "Girls" fame. The dramatic thriller follows the story of a cellist's pursuit for perfection that inevitably takes a sinister turn. The film was shot in Vancouver and directed by Girls alum Richard Shepard.

May 31, 2019 - When They See Us

Based on a true story, this Harpo-produced Netflix original mini-series tells the story of five Black teenagers that were convicted of a rape they did not commit. Stars include Joshua Jackson, Felicity Huffman, and John Leguizamo to name a few.
