11 Restaurants In Montreal Where You Can Eat A Lot Without Needing To Take Out A Loan
  • As we all know, restaurants in Montreal are in abundance, but ones that aren't too expensive can be hard to find - which is why we're here!
  • MTL Blog has made a list of inexpensive restaurants in Montreal where you can get a delicious meal for cheap.
  • Check out the list below!

I'm a firm believer in the idea you should never stop going on dates - even after 50 years of marriage. Dating is a way of getting out of the house and connecting with someone on a deeper level. I especially love dates that involve good food, which is perfect considering Montreal is filled with restaurants .

While the city is filled with lavish, romantic restaurants, this doesn't take away from the fact that some of the best dates I have ever been on were the ones that were the least expensive.

Not only do these locations offer great dishes at even better prices, but all of them have a cool and casual vibe - ideal for a night on the town with that special someone.

From funky cafés that serve of mind-blowing dishes to BYOB Italian eateries, our city is stocked with incredible places to get those calories in.

This list proves that you don't need to spend a lot to go for a great meal in our city! I am always looking for new and affordable spots throughout Montreal and these are my favourites. If you have any other cheap date restaurants, make sure to let me know!

Lloydies

Where: 66 rue Saint Viateur O & 2145 rue Crescent

Lloydies serves up Caribbean flavours in a warm atmosphere, that is perfect for a casual date night with that special someone.

Their menu includes $3 Jamaican patties and $4 mac and cheese to the $12 jerk chicken served with sides. And, my personal favourite, their mouthwatering chicken wings.

If you are craving that Carribean vibe, but can't afford to take your date to Jamaica, Lloydies will kick your jerk chicken craving to the curb.

From their lamb chops and salads to their incredible pork chops, this is a great spot for a date night.

I must say, the atmosphere is not incredibly romantic however, the food is good enough to have you falling in love with this establishment.

Pizzaria Napoletana is a Montreal staple - the authentic pizzas and pasta, combined with its affordability and the fact that is it BYOB makes this a spot everyone needs to check out.

This local gem started its journey as a pool hall in 1948 and has managed to turn into one of the most popular Italian spots in the city, not to mention one of the most popular date spots in the city.

The restaurant doesn't take reservations for more than groups of eight and there's always a line out the door, so be prepared to do some talking and waiting before getting to eating!
