If you have an Instagram, then the chances are very high that you already know all about Passe Compose. Their fresh, tasty, and classic brunch dishes make the rounds on social media a whole lot - and the second you step foot into this Plateau restaurant, you know why.

Boasting a casual and welcoming atmosphere, Passe Compose is legit the perfect restaurant to catch up with your friends and nosh on some seriously tasty brunch food. The best part, though? Their 2 for $13 mimosa deal will make sure you guys are covered in the brunch drink department - and then some.

Alright, guys, prepare to be seriously amazed by this Old Montreal restaurant. L’Atelier D’Argentine is known for its good food, and classy-yet-welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to catch up with your BFFs over a meal.

But their weekend brunch is on a whole other level. Offering incredibly scrumptious, Argentinian-Inspired brunch options, L’Atelier D’Argentine also boasts a mimosa kit on their menu. Honestly, the brunch at Communion is so, so on point. They offer a huge variety of tasty dishes - like their beignets, or heir English Breakfast, with eggs, smoked bacon and sausage, blood pudding, potatoes, baked beans, and roasted tomatoes - so that if you’re craving a seriously exciting and quality brunch, they’ve got your back.

Oh, and have I mentioned their Druniken Brunch yet? Communion offered all you can drink Mimosas and Aperol Spritz cocktails, so you and your BFFs can bond over tasty food and some seriously good brunch times.

At this stage in the game, Montreal’s Le Cartet is pretty much synonymous with “awesome brunch”. Those of us who have been there know exactly why: their brunch fare, consisting of huge portions, quality ingredients, and all-around delicious dishes, is super hard to beat.

And when you add that in with their casual, friendly, and trendy atmosphere, as well as their incredibly tasty mimosas, what do you get? An incredibly top place for brunch, and an even better spot to go to with your best friends in the world.

6. Suite 701

701 Côte de la Place d'Armes

Anything that’s described as a lounge/restaurant is a winner in my book, but TBH, Suite 701 basically takes the cake. Other than running on all pistons of awesome during the week, this incredible Old Montreal spot also offers a seriously impressive brunch on the weekends.

I could seriously talk about the food here forever - like their bacon tile cinnamon brioche, their bacon wrapped scallops, their smoked salmon eggs Benedict, or their caramelized apple vanilla yogurt dish. But this is about booze, friends, and with their “Option Grande Soif” - a 2 hour open bar add-on option - that’s exactly what you’re going to get. So grab your BFFs, prepare to nosh on an awesome meal, and let the good times roll.

7. Birks Cafe

If you and your friends are looking for a seriously classy place to booze it up, then look no further. Birks Cafe, situated in the eponymous jewellery store, is perfect for a classy weekend brunch gathering with your BFFs.

Their menu consists of incredibly fresh, high-quality, and tasty brunch options, like their warm goat cheese and smoked salmon salad, or their seriously awesome e beef tartare. Of course, they’ve also got mimosas on the menu, so get ready to toast to your friendship while sipping on the world’s greatest breakfast drink.

364 Rue de la Commune East

Brunch lovers, welcome to paradise. Terrasses Bonsecours is pretty much well-known in the city already, and if you’ve ever been there, you know exactly why. The atmosphere is chill and trendy, the location is beyond beautiful, and the food is high-key amazing.

Oh, and the drinks here are on their own level of awesome. Protip: although you’ll be thrilled with any brunch time cocktail choice, get your hands on their sangria. I honestly can’t put into words how awesome their fruity, colourful, tasty drink is - but what I can tell you is that it’s best shared among friends.

9. Lili.Co

At this point, if you don’t know about the Plateau’s Lili.Co… Well, you’ve sadly been missing out. Offering incredibly tasty dishes during the weekday, and delightfully delicious brunches during the weekend, it’s no wonder that this spot is super well-loved in the city.

And, although their regular menu is amazing, it’s their brunch that truly shines in my book. Featuring a wide array of dishes and drinks, this spot is perfect for any and all BFF gatherings - so make sure to get yourselves there ASAP, and toast to your awesome friendship while you’re there.

10. SuWu

True, SuWu is technically a bar, but it transforms into one of the best brunch place you’ve ever been to during weekend mornings. Seriously, their brunch options are original, fresh, and awesome - and they’ve got one incredibly delicious breakfast poutine to boot.

Of course, the mimosas here are something I could write symphonies about, TBH. There’s something to be said about a place when their mimosas are in a category of their own; and, trust, you haven’t had a mimosa until you’ve had one at SuWu. So grab your friends and get there, and prepare to be amazed.

11. Terrasse Place D’Armes

A photo posted by *Juliet (@julietbedard) on

55 Saint-Jacques Street

Alright, this rooftop terrasse technically does lunch starting at 11:30 - but their menu is a good mix of awesome breakfast and lunch items, like their smoked salmon sandwich, their beef tartare, and their steak tacos, so I’m going to go ahead and say it still counts.

Because, at the end of the day, if you’re looking for somewhere to chill with your friends while on a rooftop overlooking Montreal at midday… well, Terrasse Placde D’Armes is one of your best options to do this. Plus, their extensive and delicious drink menu means that this outing will definitely turn into a friendship adventure. All the wins, friends. All the wins.
