As a Montrealer who has experienced taking the Orange Line and Green Line first hand, I have observed some key diefference between those who ONLY take the Orange or ONLY the Green Line. Based on friends and collegues experiences also, I have composed this list of some funny differences you might have also experienced!

1. People Who Take The Orange Line Are Used To Disapointment
The Orange Line is the most common metro line to be stuck or delayed. We Green Line people know that when we hear that the service is delayed that it will be followed with "on the Orange Line between Côte-Vertu and Berri-UQAM"
2. People Who Take The Green Line Don't Know How To Wait For A Second Metro
Since I take both metro lines daily, I witness this all the time! When there is a delay on the Green Line, and the crowd builds up, everyone thinks that they are so entitled to getting on the metro FIRST. But, the sad news is that some people will have to wait for a second metro and people who take the Green line just can't stand that extra 4 minute wait so they try their hardest to squiz on. Similarly, when a Green Liner takes the orange line during rush hour for the first time, they will push and try to get on that first metro while Orange Line people have accepted that they will have to wait for the second one almost every day.
3. People Who Take The Orange Line Rarely Offer Their Seats
I am not sure how accurate this is, but through observation I can agree with my friends who say that most people on the Orange Line won't offer their seats to people who need it, I mean on the Green Line it isn't that much better.
4. People Who Take The Green Line ALWAYS Run To Get On The Metro
That 3 minute wait to someone who takes the Green Line is everything to them! So, you will always see people running to make the metro before the doors close, while people on the Orange Line are content with the wait and walk it.
5. People Who Take The Orange Line Are Used To Metro Art
Most metro stops on the Orange Line are filled with metro art, while most Green Line stops are bright and boring.
6. People On The Green Line Are Fasinated By The AZUR Metros
Since the Green Line hasn't experienced the AZUR metros, they are absolutely amazed by it when they see it at LG or Berri. You will almost always catch them starring or snapping pictures!
7. People On The Orange Line Know What The STL Is
Since the Orange Line goes into Laval, most Orange Liners know what the STL is, while those who take the Green Line and want to go to Carrefour Laval have no idea that they need to buy an STL pass to take the bus (haha... me).
8. People Who Take The Green Line Have No Connection Between The AMT
Hey, if you take the train then you definitly take the Orange Line while those who take the Green Line either don't know about the AMT or have to trek to take the train off the island.
9. People Who Take The Orange Line Come From All Over Montreal
Since the Orange Line goes through Laval, is connected to the Blue Line, and attracts those from the West Island with the CV express busses, you can expect to meet people from all over Montreal and even from off the Island. However, most people who take the Green Line only take it because they live near it.
10. People On The Green Line Always Find An Empty Seat
Lucky for us, people who take the Green Line are more likely to find a seat than those who take the Orange Line!
11. People On The Orange Line Avoid Going Down Town
For those, including me, who take the Orange Line, if you want to go out for lunch you won't get off and switch lines to go down town because it's a pain in the ass to get off at LG go to Peel and then have to back track. Instead, we rather sit tight on the Orange Line and check out some hip cafe in the Mile End.
12. People On The Green Line Don't Go To The Plateau Or Mile End As Much
When I am on the Green Line, like with the Orange Line and Down Town, I sit tight and just go down town! I actually only ventured in the Plateau and Mile End once I started Cegep awhile ago.
