Summer is the perfect date season. You've got the warm weather which basically opens you up to so many amazing date options. You could try going for a bike ride along the canal, hiking up Mont-Royal to look over the entire city, or take a trip to one of the amazing waterfalls all around Montreal!
If you're not feeling super adventurous and want a nice, classic summer date, you should take your date to a nice summer terrasse for dinner. Montreal has so many amazing restaurants and most of them open up their terrasses for the summer months!

1. Lola Rosa

This is a very homey restaurant perfect to bring a first-date, especially if they're vegan or gluten-free! The restaurant is fully vegetarian with many vegan and gluten-free options. They have a gorgeous patio located right by Mont-Royal so you can take a romantic after-dinner stroll by the mountain.
There's no reason this date shouldn't go well if you take them to this spot.
2. Lucille's Oyster Dive

This is the perfect place to take a date, but make sure they like seafood first! Lucille's Oyster Dive serves exclusively seafood, but they make it out of this world delicious. Imagine the best lobster rolls you've ever had served with a huge plate of homemade fries, or a lemony grilled octopus served over greek mashed potatoes.
This one is a winner for sure.
3. La Belle et la Boeuf

This is one restaurant you've gotta bring your next date, especially if they love burgers. La Belle et la Boeuf specializes in huge, juicy burgers with amazing fries. They also serve massive, fancy drinks in mason jars! They set up a terrasse on the busy Saint-Catherine street during the summer months, creating the perfect, central location.

This little spot has the cutest patio to take your next date to. With twinkly lights strung all over it creates the perfectly romantic atmosphere. They have classic foods with asian twists and their cocktails are amazing!
5. Jardin Nelson

Located right in the heart of the Old Port, you can't beat this location. Enjoy one of their classic pizzas and a pitcher of their best sangria and you've got yourself a pretty great date. Finish it off with a romantic stroll along the Old Port and you've just won the dating game.

If your date is a Mexican-food lover, this is the spot you two. It's based in a tortilla factory and makes classic Mexican street food, such as amazing soft tacos and burritos. Their terrasse is located right in Jean Talon market, which is a super cute place to take a date!

This restaurant features Asian/Quebecois comfort food.. enough said. Try their amazing bao buns, bibimbap salmon, or lobster tempura! Located right in Saint Henri, this is such an adorable location for your next date, and the food will most definitely impress.

Another asian-style restaurant, OMMA features classic Korean recipes. Try their amazing bibimbap and you won't be disappointed. If your date loves Korean food, she's going to love you even more for her bringing her to this awesome terrasse.

Fish and chip lovers, listen up! This place has awesome fish and chips, you can trust me I've been here and it really is as good as it looks. The fish is super fresh and crispy, with just enough batter and amazing fries on the side. They also have some other awesome dishes like jumbo hot dogs, poutine, and hamburgers!

Another asian-style restaurant, this time with a Japanese twist! They serve some delicious Japanese bento boxes and ramen you won't want to miss out on. Also you've got to try their frozen beer, amazing! Your date will be impressed by your taste in food if you bring them here.
