Canadians are a proud and noble people, and with good reason.

We have a lot to be proud of here in Canada. Our leader isn't completely insane, our country is absolutely breathtaking, and if that wasn't enough, we're finally legalizing recreational marijuana.

We definitely have it made in the true north strong and free. A few years back this list went viral and lately it's been popping up all over our news feeds, so we decided it was due for a comeback.

Here are at least 12 more things Canadians have to be proud of:

1. Smarties

2. Crispy Crunch and Coffee Crisp

Not sold in the USA

3. Baseball Is Canadian

How is this not American?

4. Hockey Is Canadian

No surprise there.

5. Basketball is Canadian

It was invented by James Naismith in 1891

6. Apple Pie

Apple may be as American as apple pie, but it was actually invented in Canada.

7. Mr. Dress-Up beats Mr. Rogers

Mr Dress-Up dressed up, that made sense for a kid. But who knows what the hell Mr. Rogers was up to.

8. Tim Hortons Beats Dunkin donuts

Proof: USA now has Tim Hortons and Dunkin's is slowly disappearing.

9. We invented ski doos, jet skis, zippers, insulin, telephones and short wave radio

That last one saves countless lives each year.

10. We have all frozen our tongues to something metal and lived to tell about it.

It's a Canadian right of passage.

11. Superman is Canadian.

Why do you think he's so nice.

12. Our money looks awesome.

Plus we have Canadian Tire money, so there's that.
