I wouldn't say one city is better than the other, given that I grew up in Toronto and have now lived in Montreal for 4 years, I honestly love them equally. But there's some things about Montreal that make it totally unique, there's a reason Torontonians come here to visit all the time.

I know tons of people from Toronto that already trek out to this festival because it's just so amazing. They always book the best acts for their headliners and feature tons of unreal up-and-coming artists as well. I always leave this festival with more great new artists to listen to than I came in with.

Toronto does have it's own version of Jazz Fest but it just doesn't compare to Montreal's. Montreal holds on of the worlds largest Jazz Festivals and they really go all out. There's tons of free concerts on the main stage, street performers all over, and amazing concerts from June 28th-July 8th this summer!
3. Just For Laughs Festival
Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival is one of the best things to experience this summer. They headline some of the world's funniest comedians and this year they'll be hosting Jerry Seinfeld, David Spade, Rick Mercer, Trevor Noah and so many more. The festival is taking place this July 12th-31st and and definitely shouldn't be missed!
4. MUTEK
