14 Cute Quebec Beaches To Road Trip To With Your Girlfriend This Summer

Okay, who here's ready for the beach? I know I am. The sand, the sun, the water, the tanning... there's literally so many beachy, fun things to look forward to!

Although many of us are under the impression that we've got to leave Quebec in order to experience a real beach - well, that's simply not true. Quebec's got tons of gorgeous and fun beaches, just begging to be enjoyed by awesome people like us.

1. Plage Lac-Saint-Joseph

Down to have an awesome time at a beach this summer? Then you're down for a visit to Plage Lac-Saint-Joseph. Located about a two hour drive out of Montreal, promises all the sun, sand, and fun you could ever want... plus, they've got palm trees. What more could you possibly need to live your best Quebec beach life?

2. Sept-Iles

This spot is legit the perfect destination if you and your BFF are beach lovers. Why? Because there are so many of them - and they're all gorgeous. There are three separate beaches - one of which, Gallix Beach, has got some seriously impressive salt marshes - as well as one section with straight-up nonstop beaches. BRB while I grab my sunglasses and prepare for an awesome time.

3. Les Iles-de-la-Madeleine

Despite the fact that there are a couple of points on here that highlight single areas of Quebec's Iles-de-la-Madeleine, the whole entire island truly deserves a spot on this list. Several small islands make up this municipality, so there are tons of beaches for you to explore - and each and every one of them have their own beauty, charm, and fun activities to do.

4. Saint-Gabriel-De-Brandon

Friends, if I told you it was only an hour and a half drive out of Montreal to this gorgeous beach, would you believe me? No? Well, you should. Ville Saint-Gabriel's beach is charming and seriously fun, and as an added bonus, the town itself has got some awesome summer activities - like hiking and ATV tours - for you to embark on.

5. Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park

Roughly an 11 hour drive away from Montreal, this spot is a little bit of a ways away from the city. But that just makes for one awesome road trip, TBH, and the travel time? Yeah. Totally worth it. Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park is located right on the tip of a peninsula, making for unparalleled beauty; and its rich history makes it an awesome spot to go to for any (fellow) history buffs out there.

6. Forillon National Park

Other than being one seriously gorgeous spot to frolic in the sand, water, and sun, Forillon National Park offers tons of super fun activities, too - like seal watching and snorkelling. Although it's a 10 hour drive from Montreal... yeah, it's well worth the road trip, friends.

7. Baie De Beauport

Honestly, there is so much to do at Baie De Beauport - there's literally a 0% chance that you'll ever be bored here. With BMX tracks, volleyball, beach soccer, windsurfing, kit surfing, and much more, Baie De Beauport is exactly where you want to end up if you're planning to take your beach vacation to a whole other level (and considering it's a four hour drive out of the city, there's really no reason for you to not visit this spot).

Not only is it gorgeous, though, but Ile Verte also offers up an awesome array of activities that are perfect for the nature loving BFFs out there, like animal watching (such as porpoises and seals), biking, hiking, and more.

13. Lac Des Sables

Lac Des Sables is located in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, about an hour out of the city, and is surrounded by about three beaches. TBH, they're all seriously gorgeous and super fun, and so it's hard to decide on just one beach destination - but Plage Major does offer sail board rentals, for the water loving BFFs among us.
