The 29th edition of Nuits D'Afrique has officially begun, and the party is just getting started. Luckily for all of us Montrealers, the majority of the on-going at this African culture festival are completely free.

The festival will be running until the July 19th, at Quartier Des Spectacles, so you have plenty of time to get out, celebrate and enjoy! Here are 21 things that you can look forward to doing at this year's Nuits d'Afriques.

1. Be amazed by the impressive circus work of Afrique en Cirque

2. Chill out at Le R's spoken word show

3. Head on over to the African reggae performance by Dakka

4. Stand in awe as you watch Moto de Kapia perform amazing acrobatic tricks, some even involving fire

5. Head on over to the Chico Trujillo show to listen to their signature punk-rock and ska sound
