Music is life. There is no doubt about that.
The only problem is that sometimes going to concerts can be a little costly. To solve that issue, here's a list of the cheapest concerts coming to town next month that you will definitely enjoy:
1. Skizzy Mars: October 1st (16$ prior, 18$ at the door)

Skizzy Mars is, as he states on his Facebook Page, "changing what you thought was music every f*cking day." He's an up and coming alternative rapper, and he gets to officially kick off the month of October with his "Alone Together" tour.

2. Das Blankout and The Native: October 2nd (7$ prior, 10$ at the door)

Das Blankout, a local 3-piece rock band with an infectious sound, has teamed up with The Native, a vibrant Toronto 4-piece, to tour in Ontario and Quebec. Plus, this Montreal show features special guest The Empty Yellers, a local all-girl rock band that will blow you away with their vocals, drums, and guitars.
3. Alex G: October 5th (12-15$)

This pop singer-songwriter is perhaps one of the best undiscovered gems of the Internet. She debuted on YouTube and almost immediately rose to fame. With songs about courage, love, honesty, vulnerability, and more, there's no way you can be disappointed.
4. A Place To Bury Strangers: October 6th (15$ prior, 18$ at the door)

A Place To Bury Strangers (APTBS) plays music that is a fusion between psychedelic rock, shoegaze, and space rock, creating the ultimate subsection of rock. Their music is as pure as they can make it, creating an exhilarating and unpredictable musical experience.
5. Girlpool: October 7th (11$ prior, 13$ at the door)

Cleo and Harmony, the two girls who created the band, have created one of the rawest Indie sounds ever. Their stripped-down guitar-bass arrangements are their signature style, and that signature does them well.

With original music written by MAS YSA, it's safe to say that the band brings something new to the plate. You surely won't regret giving their music a listen.

This wonky pop band is all kinds of crazy. Landshapes is a band on the fringe of alternative, and create music about such diverse yet specific topics that you'll always be on the edge of your seat, wanting more.

Ezra Furman is a captivating person that you'll always want to know more about. Even though he speaks his mind through his music, you can't help but want more.
9. Protomartyr: October 12th (13$ prior, 15$ at the door)

Greg, Scott, Joe, and Alex came together in Detroit to create Protomartyr: an amazing post-punk band. Their raw sensibility will definitely blow you away.

LVL UP is a band that fuses post-2007 Smashing Pumpkins and a 70's version of Pavement into their own new style. Their crooked and fantastical minds bring us a new view to music, a view that once you discover, you can't go without it.

Career Suicide and Omegas have come together for the ultimate show. The Toronto hardcore punk band and the psychedelic, progressive, hard, space rock group make an awesome variety that you won't be able to wait to hear them again.

DRINKS is an all-new duo that is one of the most unlikely yet greatest combinations ever. Tim performed psych-rock, Cate performed folk-pop. Together? They've created the most unexpected music of all time: Welsh post-punk. Still, DRINKS is nothing short of amazing.
16. New York Night Train: October 24th (10$ prior, 12$ at the door)

Here We Go Magic is an American indie rock band will be you're new favourite. Their melodic sound is something you've never heard before, and never will hear if you don't take advantage of the opportunity to go and see them!

This four-piece group is more than just creepy or weird. Through a catchy punk-rock vibe, these girls voice their pains, anxieties, rage, sadness; they tells us their stories.
19. Seoul: October 29th (10$ prior, 12$ at the door)

Seoul is an up-and-coming Montreal Indie trio. They have such an original that you've definitely never heard anything like it before. They're onto something new, something magnificent.
20. TOPS: October 31st (10$ prior, 12$ at the door)

Ending off the month with a bang (or an intricate drum beat) is local band TOPS. This irresistible Indie rock band has a down-and-dirty sound that will blow you away. Is there any better way to spend Halloween?
