20 Montreal Things To Do With Your Significant Other In March 2015

From these first few days of March, I think we can safely say that Spring is approaching. Slowly, but it is coming none the less. And with the gloom and doom of the winter months coming to a close, it’s time for you and your guy or gal to get out of the house. It’s easy to get into a funk with your significant other when it’s too chilly to go outside. It turns into, Netflix, Cuddle, Eat, Sleep, Repeat. So, if the two of you are feeling lost when it comes to what to do this month, we’ve got it sorted for you.

1. Go See The Arkells!

2. The Art Matters Festival

Concordia University hosts the Art Matters festival every year in order to highlight the talents of various visual and performance artists this city has to offer! If you and your significant other are big in the art scene, this is the perfect occasion for you both!


Not soccer, that isn’t romantic; I’m talking about the Montreal International Festival for Films on Art. It’s running from the 19 -29th of March. It’s a nice spin on the classic movie date.

4. Saint Patrick’s Day

Kiss, drink green beer and participate in some tomfoolery, all in the name of the Irish!

5. Italian Wines And Tartare

If you got some dough to spend on your S.O. then this event sounds pretty swanky. They offer different takes on fancy wines and tar tars as well as a DJ and spa.

6. Experience The Sugar Shack!

It’s sugar shack season! L’Hermine Maitre is the perfect place for couples to experience an authentic cubane a sucre taste incorporated within a five star meal.

7. Go See The Habs!

You can never go wrong with a hockey date! The Canadiens have only six home games this month so book fast!

8. Vertiges

This screening is for those couples that like to do something different together. This show asks the question of time through a magnificent visual experience.

9. Experience Mont Royal

Since the blistering winds are now leaving us, it’s actually feasible to climb up the mountain. It’s quite lovely to look over the city covered in snow, with that special someone.

10. Screenings At The Phi Centre

March is the month of cinema at the Phi Centre. This space is the ideal locale for a date. It’s topical , interesting, and a fun way to shake things up from a normal “Netflix night in”. There are 25 film screenings this month so I’m sure you and your S.O. can find something you are both interested in seeing.

11. Les Paul Tribute

It’s always nice to go listen to music with your boyf or girlf, but if you two are tired of always dragging your butts down to the Bell Centre, this event will surely make you smile. The Complexe Desjardins is hosting 100 electric guitarists to create an insane musical experience, for you and your honey to enjoy. Check out more here!

12. Eat Ice Cream

I mean it’s a little early in the season, but there is no better way to get Spring to come than to will it. It’s going to make you and your S.O. happy so there is absolutely no way to lose. Unless they don’t like ice cream, in which case you should dump them immediately.

13. Get Yo’ Zen On

Couples yoga is an activity that has been taking over recently. So if you Namaste together on the regs, your gonna wanna check out this event hosted by Lululemon.

14. A Walk In Arc Park

Architecture Park is one of my favourite outdoor date spots, and since the weather is looking up, now you two can enjoy it as well.

15. Pandas 3D

Must I explain why this is a good idea? Book your tickets now!

16. Laugh Your Ass Off

Place Des Arts is hosting a plethora of funny folk this month, including Alton Brown and Les Morisette.

17. Skate While You Can

Winter activities are going to be ending mid month, so fulfill your couple dream of going for a romantic ice skating date.

18. College Night @ Unity

A little known fact that one of the most fun places to go clubbing, for both gay and straight couples, is Unity. This month the amazing DJ Sandy Duperval is hosting a college night for all you uni sweethearts!

19. Pig Out

I mean you’ve probably seen the amazingfood porn we’ve been posting for you two to nom away on. But there is a crap ton of Easter chocolate on the market as well. You’re both in love anyways, why not get fat together?

20. Wish For Summer

Finally, if you’re the kind of couple who thrive in the summer months, then sit back and stare at your Cuba themed desktop background. Summer will be here soon enough guys!
