Our thoughts change as we grow older. Obviously we don't have the same thoughts we had when we were children and teenagers. People move on.
Girls in their 20s have a very interesting mindset. Our thoughts lead us to our actions. No one is saying every girl is the same. However, the majority of women think alike -- in other words, they think in a similar way.
When girls turn 20 they know it's time for a change. In fact, they are no longer "girls", they are women. Becoming a woman requires a change in attitude -- and these attitudes come from their emotions and their most common thoughts, both of which are shared by many twenty-something women.
"Is This The Right Career For Me?"
Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions people have to make in their lives. There's a point where every girl in their 20s ask themselves if the career they chose is the right one, even after they get their degree. Girls have a high sense of responsibility, which means they are always trying to figure out what is best for their lives. They don't settle for second best which keeps them always on the search for something better.
"Am I Getting Too Old To Be A Successful Professional?"
Sometimes things don't go according to our plans and we find ourselves working for/on something we don't actually love. Most girls in their 20s think about being a successful professional and wonder if they're already too old for that. This is when anxiety becomes a problem and girls start to be stressed all the time. Don't be. The most successful women in the world began their professional lives at 30 -- even after. Have you ever heard of J.K. Rowling? She was 30 when she finished the manuscript for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone". It was rejected by 12 publishers, until Bloomsbury finally picked it up. After that she did… moderately well.
"What Difference Do I Make In The World?"
Girls in their 20s start to wonder what difference they are making in the world. They want to feel like they are an active and dynamic person in society, not just another cog in the machine. They have the need to change the world -- make it a better place for them and everybody else. This is when they start to participate in humanitarian activities, take better care of the environment, and of take better care of themselves.
"Am I Ready To Be In A Long Term Relationship?"
When girls are in their 20s they don't think about having long term relationships. They are starting their lives and thinking about the future. School, work and building a career is what matters the most at this age. Nobody can control what happens in life, though. Sometimes they meet a person who might be the one when they are in their 20s. This is when they cannot stop thinking about relationships, and if they're even ready for it.
"I Don't Wanna Be A Housewife In The Future!"
When girls in their 20s finally start dating, they instantly start thinking they don't wanna be a housewife -- never. Maybe it's because they saw their mothers, grandmothers, and other women they know solely being housewives, and the thought terrifies them. There's nothing wrong with getting married and having children, but being a housewife is completely terrifying. Not having a career is something they just can't live with. (Note: No one is saying housewives don't work hard -- because they do. Taking care of the house and the family is very tiring and admirable.)
"How Can I Start Making Money?"
There comes a time when every girl in their 20s start wondering what they can do to start making money -- a lot of money. They start having these thoughts when hard work is not paying off and they wanna make a change in their lives. This is very common and almost every girl in their 20s have the same thought. This is when brilliant ideas are born and most girls turn up to be very successful.
"Am I Too Fat?"
If there's one thing most (if not all) women cannot deny is the fact that they all think they're fat -- even when they're not. Girls in their 20s are more likely to have this kind of thought due to a higher level of insecurity. They are not teenagers anymore and don't have the time to go to the gym as much as they did before. Therefore, thoughts such as "Am I too fat?" start to haunt their minds. It doesn't get any better though. The best thing to do is accept your body, exercise and feel absolutely beautiful, because you are.
"Should I Start Taking Life More Serious?"
Most girls are playful and amusing. They are always the life of the classes, offices and parties. There comes a time when girls in their 20s start wondering if they should start taking life more serious -- and by serious I mean acting or speaking sincerely and in earnest, rather than in a joking or halfhearted manner. Unfortunately this is a mistake most girls make. Be serious when you're discussing serious matters, not all the time.
"Is It Too Childish To Wear This?"
Girls in their 20s find themselves in a difficult situation when it comes to choosing their clothes. Some girls don't care and wear whatever they want and feel comfortable with. But some girls don't know if what they're wearing is too childish or not. They start wondering if they should wear their clothes to go to work or buy new ones. It's a matter of how they present themselves to society -- and how they wanna be seen.
"Does He Like Me Too?"
Girls start having this kind of thought when they are little girls. When they are in their 20s things get real. They always ask themselves if their crush likes them or not. They are afraid to be wasting their time with someone who doesn't like them back. It's always better to make sure the other person likes you before going too deep. No one likes to get hurt, right?
"How Can I Get His Attention?"
It's really annoying when we like someone and the person doesn't have a clue. Girls in their 20s ask themselves very often how they can get their crush's attention. When we're teenagers we are more audacious -- the same happens when we're older and single. But girls in their 20s actually give a lot of thought to how they can get their crush's attention without sounding too easy or acting in an embarrassing way.
"Have I Studied Enough To Pass The Exam?"
It doesn't matter how many hours they spent studying -- girls in their 20s will always ask themselves if they have studied enough. They are always worried about their exams and about passing with a good grade. Even if they were careless students when they were teenagers, girls in their 20s will always want to stand out and graduate with honours.
"Am I Good Enough?"
Unfortunately this thought haunts girls in their 20s more often than it should. Before a job interview, before having the first date, after a break-up, when having difficulty studying, when having a hard time finding a good job -- or any job, when they have a deadline etc. This self-questioning is an unhealthy thought which can lead to depression and anxiety. Girls in their 20s sometimes have a hard time believing in their potential.
"Why Doesn't He Call Me?"
Another question girls in their 20s ask themselves quite a lot. When going out with a guy, they expect more romance and positive feedback. Their expectations are higher than they were before. They keep asking themselves this question, even when they only wanna have fun. Girls in their 20s don't like to feel like they were the "one night stand".
"Will I Ever Fulfil My Dreams?"
Sometimes girls in their 20s have the weight of the world on their shoulders. They start wondering if they will ever fulfil their dreams -- is it too late? There are all kinds of different dreams and dreamers. The fear of not fulfilling a dream is something girls in their 20s worry a lot about. They are in a transition from teenagers to adults -- which can be very demanding, and scary.
"How Could I Have Been So Stupid?"
Disappointment, betrayal, break-ups, and lies are an unfortunately large part of being an adult. Girls in their 20s constantly have the same thought. "How could I have been so stupid?" Sometimes they are still too young to deal with some feelings, which can be crushing. Sometimes they are not that young but are still too immature. We all commit mistakes, it's normal to feel this way.
"Should I Trust Him?"
When we're too young we don't think before getting in a relationship. Girls in their 20s do. That's why they ask themselves a thousand times whether or not they should trust their new partner. It's a matter of trust -- obviously, and reassurance. Once the fear is gone, they let themselves go and love their partners thoroughly.
"Why Is This Taking So Long?"
Impatience is on the top 5 list of girls in their 20s behaviour. Time is precious and they don't enjoy spending it on unnecessary things -- such as frustrating lineups, waiting rooms, waiting for someone who is late etc. They want to keep moving. When you see a girl in their 20s waiting for someone or something, chances are they are thinking "Why is this taking so long?"
Girls in their 20s are at the peak of their sexual lives, which means they are constantly thinking about sex. It's normal to think that anyone of the opposite sex could be hot. (Of the same sex, too.) That's what happens when they meet new people and find them attractive. Girls in their 20s think men are hot all the time. Nothing wrong in there. It only means they are alive.
"Why Am I Never Satisfied?"
People make compliments about girls in their 20s, they complain. People say harsh things about them, they complain. Things are doing well, they think it's not enough. It's hard to please girls in their 20s sometimes -- and they know it. That's why they usually ask themselves why they are never satisfied. You know the phrase, "Anything you say can and will be held against you"? That's it.
