Osheaga is the biggest festival of it's kind in Canada and since 2006.
With so many people gathering in one place, things are bound to get rowdy and out of control, which is why many things have been banned from the festival over the years.
You probably remember last year when Osheaga banned Feathered Headdresses.
Some people were freaking out way more than they should have, which is weird because wearing a big, heavy, headdress while standing in the hot sun all day doesn't seem like a very good idea to begin with.
Osheaga's 11th edition takes place from July 29 - 31, and if you're planning on attending, you should know there are a lot more things you can get in trouble for having on site other than a headdress.
So if you don't feel like being denied entrance, you should probably take a look at the complete list items banned on the festival site.
Outside alcoholic beverages
It would probably get all warm and gross anyways.
Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
Everywhere else is cool though right?
Glass bottles and cans
You know you'll be too drunk to recycle anyways.
Hard-sided coolers
Could do a lot of damage if you launch it into the crowd.
Megaphones
Who the hell brings a megaphone?
Musical instruments
No one wants to hear you play wonder-wall.
Fireworks
Since people are dumb enough to bring fireworks, I feel the need to mention: Don't bring flame throwers either.
Flags & banners
You'll have to leave your "I love you Thom Yorke" sign at home.
Beach balls, soccer balls, frisbees, etc.
How can they call this a music festival without giant beach-balls bouncing over the crowd?
Large sports umbrellas
How large is large? 'cause those IKEA umbrellas are pretty damn big.
Folding chairs
Last year I brought a La-Z-Boy instead. Loophole!
Skateboards
The floor is mud you dumbass.
Animals (except guide dogs)
I feel like no festival is complete without seeing one guy with a giant snake on his shoulders.
Large backpacks (camping style)
How many changes of underwear did you bring?
Tents
If you're sleepy, go home.
Laser pointers
Because this is 1997 and you're 12 years old.
Water squirt gun or mist
This seems a little unnecessary.
Items intended for sale / promotion
No one wants to buy your homemade lanyards.
Firearms, knives, or weapons of any kind + Any object that can be used to cause bodily harm
But what about selfie sticks?
Selfie sticks
The most dangerous weapon of all.
Drones
Snipers should be on site to shoot them out of the sky.
Professional video / Audio recording equipment
So I guess the Osheaga "crocodile hunter" will need a media pass this year.
