People around the world are obsessed with traveling, but the truth is that you don't need to travel very far to have an adventure. At least not when you live in a place as vast as Quebec.
There's so much to see and do in this province that it would be a shame to explore the rest of the world without first exploring our own back yard.
There are plenty of great vacation spots and getaway ideas but if you really want to appreciate the beauty of Quebec, you HAVE to check out our Provincial and National Parks.

1. Oka National Park
This park has a rich historical and natural heritage. It has four oratories and three chapels as well as the famous wetlands. There are a ton of winter and summer activities including: Snowshoeing, Sledding, Fatbike, Canoeing, Kayaking, Swimming, Hiking, Biking and Stand Up Paddling.

2. Forillon National Park
Here you can go paddling, cruising or snorkeling as you observe the sea mammals up close. There are 7 different species of whales to spot and even some dolphins and seals. There's also a beach and a ton of hiking trails.

3. Lac Mauricie National Park
With over 150 lakes in the area, this place is truly unique. Did we mention is also has a waterfall? You can take a dip in the natural pools or take a kayak to check out the waterfalls up close.

4. Saguenay St. Lawrence Marine Park
This park is the only park in Québec to preserve and enhance a marine environment exclusively. If the blue whales aren't your thing, then check out the Belugas instead. The beauty of this place will truly leave you amazed and there's no shortage of activities.

5. Jacques Cartier National Park
Just 30 minutes north of Quebec City, Jacques Cartier National Park is perfect for people who want to observe wildlife. There's moose, deer, foxes, wolves, bears, and over 100 different types of birds.

6. Grands-Jardins National Park
Impressive fishing and lush vegetation. The park itself has camping, hiking, wildlife, canoe and kayaking. Plus in the winter there's skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.

7. Mingan Archipelago National Park
This place is a stunning example of what nature can do given enough time. Erosion created some amazing limestone sculptures on the beach. It is absolutely stunning.

8. Plaisance National Park
Home to a variety of birds, including Canadian geese, this place is heaven for bird watchers. They also have loads of water activites: Row boating, kayaking, canoeing, and of course, swimming.
