30 Hilarious Memes You'll Only Understand If You're From Quebec

Only au Québec ⚜
Quebec Memes
  • We love Quebec so much we went out looking for the best Quebec memes that were so hilarious it hurts.
  • But, if you're not from here you might not get it...
  • Take a look at this list of memes you'll only understand if you're from La Belle Province ⚜

Quebec is a very special place, which means that Quebec memes are a very special thing.

Considering the fact that we have two official languages, it's not surprising that this means we've got twice the number of memes, and twice as much opportunity to make fun of ourselves and the province around us.

Yes, the meme has the ability to tear people down while simultaneously bringing them together. By learning to laugh at ourselves, we learn to love all that is absolutely ridiculous about this place we call home.

From easy subjects, like the weather, to more politically charged memes starring our very own Legault, I've gone out and sifted through hundreds of memes to bring you the best Quebec memes I could find on a variety of subjects.

There's no question that I've missed some winners, and to that I say, please spam my Twitter account with your best Quebec memes, I live for it, RIP my inbox.

But like I said, I think I did a good job of seeing out a wide variety of memes that poke fun at La Belle Province and it's many unique oddities.

Without further ado, here are some of the best Quebec memes on the internet, from Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, Instagram and Facebook.

Obviously, we've got the weather

Which I don't even think is fair.

It's really too easy and also maybe too soon, which means I'm probably suffering from the same PTSD Squidward is struggling with above and I just don't want to remember what we're in for in just a couple of weeks...

Though the weather isn't the worst thing in Montreal...

In addition to the terribly offensive weather, Montreal is also a veritable soup of sketchiness and bad bars, and sometimes both at the same time.

We're either in a perpetual search for cute boys or perpetually waiting for the metro.

Yes, Montreal is one in a million.

But Quebec is so much more than just Montreal

Think of les régions!

With so much to explore in big ol' Quebec, why would you ever just stay in Montreal?

Consider des régions, like Tremblant or Gatineau!

Or, y'know if you're really adventurous, you could always take a trip to... I don't know, Edmundston?

Plus, two languages are better than one!

Quebec has something that very few other places can boast: two official languages that are constantly battling each other for priority.

But don't ever underestimate the power of the French language.

Learning French could change your life...

in more ways than one.

Though, I promise you it won't be easy.

It can sometimes seem like the entire language exists just to confuse anyone who isn't a native speaker...

Though some things go beyond language...

Like sports for example.

When there's nothing else, there's always the Habs to make fun of.

Of course, there's also the construction

Which is again, maybe to easy, but impossible not to include.

Because, as this super fresh Spidey meme proves, the construction memes never end.

Just like the construction never ends.

This is, and will always be, our reality.

Just like someone else I know...

Yes, Legault.

Love him or hate him, he's another reality we won't be escaping any time soon.

So you might as well make use of the opportunity for dank Legault memes in the meantime.

Because, sometimes, laughter is all we have...

Racism is not funny... but sometimes all we can do in the face of seeming injustice is to laugh.

Even if it is nervously, and via memes from behind our computer screen while we sit in the dark and contemplate the legal realities of our province.........

Perhaps the power of memes is stronger than the power of hate, and they have the ability to bring people together.

Translation: Youth from Laval, enrolled in school, who has to go to Montreal for the first time in their life
"We must stay calm in the face of diversity."

The way Montreal brings people together as a beacon of diversity in this white, white province...

Translation: Wearing religious symbols in Quebec / Helping France to reconstruct their Catholic Cathedral.

... full of history that is very... particular.

Because history can be religious, but the present day, no.

No one is safe

Particularly not the French, who have apparently invaded the Plateau and are stealing all the Anglo women.

Quebecois food, a bastion of culture...

It wouldn't be a compilation of Quebec memes without mentions of poutine and smoked meat, amirite?

Plus, the nectar of the gods, the lifeforce of our people, sirop d'érable.

Yes, Quebec is a very special place

Truly unlike any other... you're either in au Québec or you're out.

Clearly whoever designed this was truly Quebecois and knew this was truly the only way to separate the people.

Some things you'd only ever see in Quebec.

Like this wind sign that is the art of our ancestors, part of our heritage.

Though some things permeate borders and stand true across Canada

Like a line at Timmies, or getting ripped off at Canadian Tire.

Thanks a lot, Crappy Tire.
