5 Montreal Festivals You Can Attend September 2015
September is a conflicting month. School is starting, and we need to get into the habit of studying and doing homework, but then we look outside and it's summer all over again. It's safe to say that we want to have it all. So why not?
Here are 5 of Montreal's out of the ordinary events happening this month that'll keep you feeling like it's still summer:
1. Montreal World Film Festival
Encouraging cultural diversity through films from around the world makes the Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF) my #1 event of the month. The MWFF holds a variety of different film competitions, such as the World Competition, Cinema Classics, and the Student Film Festival. 2. Art Tattoo Show Montreal
If you're into tattoos, this is the event for you. From the 11th to the 13th of September, over 250 world-renowned tattoo artists will gather at Place Bonaventure. Not only can you add more tattoos to your collection, but there will also be live music, vendor booths, tattoo competitions, art exhibitions, and more for the public's enjoyment! 3. POP Montreal International Music Festival
This non-profit festival will be taking place from September 16th-20th all over the city. With over 4,000 artists and usually a crowd of over 50,000 people, there will never be a dull moment at this festival. From big names like Coeur De Pirate, to beginners like Bully, viewers will be able to immerse themselves in a musical culture so diverse and profound that they won't be able to do anything but love it. 4. Le Mois De La Photo ร Montrรฉal
From September 10th to October 11th, you can view about 30 different photographers' works. For the month, you could visit a variety of different places, including the Galerie de l'UQAM and The Montreal Museum Of Fine Arts, to view different works. You can also purchase the edition of the exhibit, which not only includes all of the photos from all of the exhibits, but also several different essays and other unpublished texts. 5. Jardins de Lumiรจre
Opening on September 4th, The Botanical Gardens is holding their annual event: Jardins de Lumiรจre. You can soon go and learn about Chinese and Japanese culture through stunning scenery and captivating lights all the way until the 1st of November.
