So here are5 jobs in Quebec that'll be in high demand by 2022:
1. Specialized Nurse Practitioner
SPNs have a very important role, as they study and monitor their patients behaviours and conditions. They also prescribe diagnostic tests, medications and treatments according to their specialty.
If you’re thinking of becoming an SPN then you might want to start with some training in Health, Assistance and Nursing. A number of alluring scholarships are available.
2. Orderly
This is the perfect job for good communicators who like to be a reassuring presence for others. Orderlies provide basic care and physical assistance to their patients, helping them maintain and improve their overall health. They’re hospital attendants who assist medical and nursing staff with various tasks and interventions. Orderlies help patients in the morning, with bathing, and getting dressed, during meals and at bedtime.
You have to be in great physical condition as well since you are handling patients daily. One of the best parts about this job is that you get to work with a team of other professionals who are just as passionate about their jobs.
While you don’t need any post-secondary schooling to become and orderly, there are several healthcare assistance training programs offered in Quebec that have excellent job placement rates.
3. Pharmacists
Another very important role in the health and social services network! Pharmacists are your go-to professionals for everything related to medicine and treatments. They are essential partners for doctors, as they know which specific medicine can help treat and prevent disease. Indeed, increasingly complex drug treatments and the increased role of drugs in the treatment of diseases make pharmacists indispensable to patients and healthcare professionals.
