As Montrealers, one of our favourite activities is without a doubt eating! Even better is enjoying a laid-back meal surrounded by our favourite people, amirite? While meat is generally the main attraction, you definitely need some worthy sides to go with. So as the adventurous, health-conscious eater that you are, you're looking for fresh, delicious greens to compliment your carnivorous activities, or even to be the star of the whole damn show!

Japanese-Style Cobb

  • 3 170 g boneless chicken breast halves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup chicken stock
  • 2 head Romaine lettuce, washed and cut crosswise
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into eight wedges
  • 2 avocados, pitted, peeled and sliced
  • 8 strips bacon, cooked until crisp and chopped
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
