6 Cute New Montreal Cafes You Need To Try With Your Friends ASAP

Hey, friend, do you know what time it is? No? Well, alright, I'll just straight-up tell you. It's coffee time. It's always coffee time.

And although we all have our fave spots to go grab a quick cup of pure happiness, the coffee scene in Montreal is so awesome that there are new, gorgeous spots popping up all the time. What kind of coffee connoisseurs would we be if we didn't try them all out?

1. Maesmi

An afternoon out with @mademoisellemii is always productive! Coffee after our lunch at the new cafe in Rosemont - @maesmi_mtl

3353 Rue Masson

Situated in Rosement, this new spot is adorable. Described as a "cool bakery and third-wave cafe", Maesmi serves up tasty - and, seriously, seriously cool - pastries and sweet treats, as well as some incredibly on point coffee.

If you don't normally find yourself in the area, trust me when I say that it's totally worth the trek out to Rosemont, just to experience this adorable coffee spot. And if you do find yourself in this area on the reg? Well, friend, you're one of the lucky ones. Go celebrate with one of their steaming hot, tasty lattes, ASAP.

Although Le Butterblume is fairly recent, it's been making a huge splash in Montreal's coffee scene. I'm convinced the coffee itself has a lot to do with that (a cup of joe here is incredibly smooth, and just straight-up comforting) but honestly, it could be tons of things.

It could be their adorable, floral-infused decor, which creates a super warm, welcoming, and trendy atmosphere. It could be their awesome location, right in Montreal's Mile-End. Or it could even be their beyond tasty, fresh, unique dishes, making this spot not only a prime coffee joint, but also an amazing eatery as well. Whatever the case, friends, all you need to do is get yourself here and experience the magic for your own.

Alright, raise your hand if you're on that vegan lifestyle vibe. Is your hand raised? Then I've got some good news for you, friend - and, hey, even if your hand is still firmly by your side, I've got some awesome news for you as well.

Esquina, a recent addition to Montreal's Plateau Mont-Royal, serves up some of the tastiest coffee around, as well as happening to make some of the most delicious homemade vegan treats you've ever tried (including homemade vegan poptarts, which sounds so amazing a tear literally just rolled down my cheek). So, friends, get yourselves there now, and thank me for it later.

4. Clementine

1490 Rue Sherbrooke O

One of the newer coffee spots in downtown Montreal, Clementine's perfectly positioned to give you a much-needed caffeine fix in between upcoming classes (which, I hate to be the one to say it, are starting pretty soon).

But no worries, friends, because one taste of the awesome coffee here, and all your troubles will melt TF away. Also, bonus points for having some of the most delicious and decadent pastries I've ever tried; especially their super flaky, rich chocolatines, which are just pure love.

5. Cà Phê Con Leche

5912 Rue St-Hubert

Okay, I seriously don't know where to start with this place. First of all, the entire space is seriously adorable, complete with navy blue walls that are seriously perfect for all of your #MTLCafeCrawl Instas. But let's just put that aside for a bit and focus on what really matters here: the coffee.

Cà Phê Con Leche offers up some incredibly awesome coffees. They've got lattes, espressos, and all your usual, amazing caffeine fare - but then they've also got Vietnamese iced coffee, Venezuelan coffees, and tons of tasty smoothies (including an avocado smoothie, which is seriously bae).

Espace Culinaire Fletchers is a supe cute cafe situated in Montreal's Musée du Montréal Juif, and specializes in Montreal Jewish food.

Other than supplying some seriously great coffee, they've also got some seriously tasty dishes, like bagels, knishes, and borscht, which makes this spot more than worth tons of visits. Also, shout out to their life-changing, totally delicious ice cream sandwiches.
