6 Kinds Of Ugly Sweaters You Will See This Holiday Season

Christmas is just around the corner. If you haven't already acquired your holiday gear, don't forget about picking up an ugly Christmas sweater, for old times sake. If you haven't been invited to an ugly Christmas sweater party, you know you wish you had been. So ugly, yet so admired, dressing in one of these hideous sweaters is a past time for many. Although most Christmas sweaters are meant to be ugly, different variations of the monstrosities do exist. For many, creativity and originality are the most important when it comes to dressing in ugly Christmas sweaters, but it's all about how you work it.  See which sweater  best fits your holiday style in our list of the best ugly Christmas sweaters.

1. The Ugly Christmas Vest

Missing both sleeves, the sweater vest (which holds no real purpose ) is one of our favorites. Sporting a tight turtle neck under a sweater vest simply screams Christmas cheer. Especially suited to those who find themselves sweating profusely after feasting on roast turkey and trifle, the sweater vest will help to keep you cool (temperature wise).

2. The One With Detachable Ornaments

We can almost smell the craftsmanship of this sweater all the way from here. While this ugly Christmas sweater requires a lot of creativity and artistic capabilities, it can serve more than one purpose. Did an ornament fall off your Christmas tree and get eaten by your dog? No problem, just rip one off your sweater and use it as replacement!

 3. The Inappropriate Sweater

You know you won't be wearing this one around Grandma. Finding a sweater like this, such as the one Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion?) rocks oh so well, is most likely hard to find. You'll probably have to use your creativity (and maybe a sewing machine) to craft such a beauty. In terms of kick ass/ bad ass Christmas sweaters, this one takes the cake. Feel free to get as raunchy/creative as you like.

4. The Trendy Christmas Sweater

Meant for those who want to maintain their dignity this Christmas, a trendy Christmas sweater is simply another knit ski sweater. If you can't afford to spend money on an ugly sweater that will only serve you for one night, think about one of these trendy patterned beauties. If you're attending an "Ugly Christmas Sweater Party" though, be prepared to have a hard time whilst fitting in- you just won't be ugly enough!

5. Matchy Matchy

We can't quite determine whether couple coordinated Christmas attire is cute or crazy. But either way, its out there, and some people are lovin' it! Worried about someone flirting with your significant other? Matching outfits will certainly let others know that they have not the slightest chance of getting into your partner's onesie!

6. The Conversation Starter

Nothing gets the conversation at a party going like a highly questionable image on your sweater. Show up to a party in one of these, and you won't even have to worry about what you'll say to Auntie Faye, whom you haven't seen in five years. She'll make a comment about your bizarre sweater, and the rest is history. Comical and controversial, this type of sweater is bound to attract some attention.
