And warm weather means that we are going to get to go outside and do what? Exercise! Or you know, just chill. Who says you can't do both?

One of my favorite things to do in Spring is to go on a nice bike ride. But don't worry, you don't have to dress up in spandex and get on a racing bike, tearing up your muscles and sweating like crazy. Biking doesn't have to be super exhausting. Going from a nice, low-key and leisurely ride is a great way to spend your day!

And lucky for us, Montrealer has tons of awesome places where you can go biking (and I don't just mean the streets). So without further ado, here are 7 places you can go in Montreal for a nice calm bike ride:

Habitat 67

One of the best things about biking is that you can get lost in your thoughts and surroundings (if you're on a path of course). That's why going for a ride near the amazing Habitat 67 is a super lowkey bike ride. You can admire Montreal's Old Port and the unique architecture of these famous buildings.

L'Ile De La Visitation

This place is literally designed for people to come visit. It's right there in the name. This amazing site is a park, forest, and island all in one. You'll be able to see beautiful sights from nature. There are animals, rapids, and much more. Trust me, if you need a break from the busyness of the city, then this is the perfect place to come relax.

Parc Maisonneuve

There is so much going on here, including an amazing bike path that passes through the park. This path is close to the Olympic Stadium, the Botanical Gardens, and the Biodome so if you're looking for a full day of activities, this should definitely be your top pick. This park is high-key gorgeous, so you have got to check it out. Just grab your bike and a friend and go to town!

Lachine Canal

Some of my fondest childhood memories are from biking along the Lachine Canal. My parents used to bring me all the time, and even as a child, I never got bored of it. There's just so much to look at and so much to do! This is definitely one of the most popular bike paths in the city. You have a beautiful view of the water, and of the city. And when you're done, you can stop by the Atwater market for lunch. What are you waiting for?

Mount Royal Park

This paths around this mountain are absolutely insane. Now, you can make this one as difficult as you want. If you're really looking for a challenge, then you could bike uphill to the top, but for those of you who want something a little more chill, just stay to paths around the bottom. But either way, you'll be able to get to the top! The views are absolutely amazing. If you're from Montreal then you've been to the mountain. But have you ever biked up it?

Parc Lafontaine

This park can be found in Le Plateau and it definitely won't disappoint. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and fun bike ride, then you've got to check out this place. Snap a picture in front of the giant fountain or the lake. I don' know what it is about biking by the water, but it just makes everything ten times more relaxing and picturesque.
