7 Montreal Spots To Watch The 2015 International Fireworks Competition This Summer

This year's Canadian portion of the International Fireworks Competition will be taking place tonight in Montreal at 10:00pm. From what we've heard, this year's show is going to be pretty spectacular. The theme is Armageddon, and from that alone it's pretty clear that the fireworks will be crazy. And according to their website, the show will be a "pyromusical fable" featuring the music of Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park, The Temptations and more.

Nothing says summertime like sitting outside in warm air and watching some amazing fireworks. So if you're looking to catch a glimpse of the show tonight, here are the 7 best places that you can do so.

1. Jacques Cartier Bridge

From 8:30-11:30 the bridge will be closed off to bikes and cars, but will be open to pedestrians so that you can get the best possible view of the firework show.

2. Clock Tower Beach

Grab your towel and head on over to the beach tonight because for just $5 you can get in to watch the firework display. Really, what could be better than watching an amazing firework show surrounded by beautiful sand and water?

3. La Ronde

Why not get as close as possible to the fireworks? La Ronde is where they'll be shooting them off from, so you might as well get up close and personal with the show and head on over there tonight.

4. Old Port

Whether you grab a spot by the water or a seat on a terrace, Old Port will offer you some great views of this massive fireworks display.

5. Parc Jean Drapeau

Sitting just across the water from where the fireworks will take place, Parc Jean Drapeau is a great spot to grab a patch of grass and check out the show. Why not make an evening out of it and bring along a picnic?

6. Mount Royal

Offering some of the best views of the city, the top of Mount Royal will be the best spot to get a full panoramic view of the fireworks tonight. We're sure the city will look amazing with all of those colourful lights overhead.

7. A Rooftop

If you're lucky enough to live in the vicinity of Old Port, head on up to your rooftop for a convenient spot to watch the show in its entirety.
