8 Breakfast Restaurants That Montreal Needs Now

When it comes to breakfast/brunch, Montreal has a lot of options. We're not complaining about the huge amount of delicious bruncheries, but the city is missing some low-brow deliciously greasy chains that are not good for you, but taste oh-so-awesome.

To get your breakfast juices flowing, here are ten breakfast restaurants/menus Montreal needs right now:

1. Denny's

Not the best quality, but you sure as hell get a lot of breakfast for incredibly cheap. At Denny's, quantity comes before quality, and grease comes before both, which is a hierarchy I can get behind.

The International House of Pancakes does not kid around. The menu is HUGE (ranging from sweet to savory) with tons of pancakes, crepes, waffles, and french toast. There is also something called the "jelly donut pancake" which is now at the top of my to-eat list.

3. Bob Evans

If you don't know Bob Evans, just know they pretty much pair every breakfast food with buttery biscuits. They even go so far as to have a "biscuit bowl" dish, which is exactly what it sounds like. Egg, cheese, and meat all piled into an edible biscuit bowl? Fat Bastard said it best with: get in my belly.

4. Waffle House

Any place that has "waffle" in the title pretty much wins me over automatically. The fact that you can throw a bunch of meat on your waffles at Waffle House officially sealed the deal.

5. White Castle

Harold and Kumar know whats up, because White Castle will fill any breakfast munchies or hangover woes instantly with their assortment of breakfast sliders and newly introduced Belgian Waffle breakfast sandwiches. White Castle is probably the only place you can get this kind of stuff at midnight, thus adding to the drunchy/munchy appeal.

6. Mimi's

A slightly classier joint, Mimi's is like the Cora's of America. Serving dishes like Cinnamon Brioche French Toast and Bacon Apple Waffles, I think we need both in Montreal.

7. Taco Bell

Apparently Canada won't get TB breakfast 'til we take back Bieber. Montreal barely has any Taco Bells anyway, which means we'll have to wait even longer to indulge in the magic of a waffle breakfast taco.

8. Chick-Fil-A

I'm morally against Chick-Fil-A in every way, but you can't deny the deliciousness of a fried chicken sandwich on a southern-style biscuit with some added egg. Healthy? Who cares, it's breakfast.
