8 Famous European Museums Offering Virtual Tours To Satisfy Your Wanderlust

Not being able to travel at the moment shouldn't stop us from doing certain things we've always wanted to do. Have you always dreamt about getting to explore The Louvre in Paris or the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam? Well, now's your chance to! MTL Blog has made a list of eight famous European museums offering virtual tours right now, so you can satisfy your wanderlust from your couch.

We've already made a list of North American museums offering virtual tours, so I figured now's the time to expand our horizons to the other side of the Atlantic.

Taking a virtual tour one of these renowned European buildings can create an imaginary trip to both a different continent and to a different decade — all without leaving the comfort of your home. A little time travel, anyone?

I've also included video glimpses of the museums to help pique your curiosity.

Some of the virtual tours on this list can only be accessed through the Google Arts & Culture app, but I promise it's worth the download.

If you feel like you're missing out on all the art the world has to offer right now, this list's for you. Happy exploring!

The Louvre, Paris

This virtual tour can be an educational one if you read through all the descriptions of artworks that The Louvre has provided.

The best part of getting to see it virtually? You never have to go into one of the massive lines that the museum sees nearly every day.
