8 Kinds Of People You'll Encounter At Montreal Comiccon

It's that time of year again, boys and girls! The time when the true geek comes out in all of us, and we don't care who knows it! Comiccon unites fans of all ages through expositions, meet and greets, and some ridiculous cosplaying! It shows how much fans really do appreciate the world of superheroes and mythical creatures, and are given a chance to embrace their love for fantasy at this incredible annual convention!

While this event can get a little wild, there are certain things and people that are totally predictable. So if you decide to attend this year's Comiccon (which you definitely should) keep your eyes peeled for these classic Comiccon-ers!

1. The Oversexualized Cosplayer

The ladies love to show some skin at Comiccon! Halloween isn't the only time you'll find girls dressed up in revealing costumes. Comiccon takes the cake for characters turned very hypersexual. Hey, if you've got the confidence to rock, more power to ya!

2. The Has-Been Celeb That Financially Needs Comiccon

We all know this guy, the celebrity who had their 15 minutes of fame and are now taking advantage of whatever opportunity they can to rake in some cash. At Comiccon, this takes the form of an ex-power ranger.

3. The Guys Cosplaying An Iconic Female Character

At every Comiccon, at least one guy shows up as Princess Lea. It's a fact! Guys think it's hilarious to dress up like female characters, and it kind of is! If you're lucky, you may even catch a full group of guys dressed as the Sailor Moon crew!

4. The Guy Actually At Comiccon For The Comics

Through the years, Comiccon has shifted from being about comics to being about TV shows, movies, fan art, fan fiction, and so much more. But every so often you will find someone attending Comiccon out of his or her total love for comic books. These people are rare, but they do exist!

5. The Older Gentleman Who Can't Give Up His Love For Superheroes

Some people have trouble letting go of their love for imaginary characters. They have no shame and don't see anything wrong with it, which is exactly how it should be! These older men and women strut their stuff proudly and even cosplay sometimes!

6. The Guy Who Is Only There To Get Laid

Sometimes men pay for entrance to the event just to hit on girls. Considering how many women dress in revealing costumes, the convention is a horny boys paradise. While most of these dudes get shut down, they're really on a mission to get some action, and don't stop until they've found what they're looking for.

7. The Over-The-Top Fan

Many fans go all out; costumes, pace paint, wigs, the works! Over-the-top fans spend almost all year preparing their costumes, and getting everything in order for the big event. Some fans are so into it, they attend Comiccon in other cities, including the world famous San Diego Comiccon.

8. The Person Only There For The A List Celeb

While some are truly die hard fans that are there to celebrate fan culture, others show up to meet the headlining celebrities. These people are usually frowned upon in the fan community, as they aren't really there for the Comiccon experience as a whole. However, some find themselves going for the celebs, but in the end, decide to experience the convention in all its glory.
