Montreal has over 50 museums, cultural centers and heritage sites which means visiting them all can be tough on your wallet.
But if you desperately want to soak up some culture without spending a fortune you have two choices.

You can wait until next year for Montreal's free museum day, or you can take advantage of these 8 museums that offer some kind of free entrance deal at some point during the month of august.

Permanent exhibitions are free on Wednesday evenings.
Fondation Pour l’Art Contemporain
Admission is free Wednesday to Friday: 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm / Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Center d'Exposition Université de Montréal
Free admission Tuesday to Saturday: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm / Thursdays 11:00 am - 8:00 pm
