8 Quebec Spots You Should Road Trip To With Your Friends To Catch Rare Pokémon

Okay, raise your hand if Pokémon Go is pretty much the best thing that's happened to you yet. (No judgements here, guys, both my hands are raised proudly in the air ATM). And while some of us are basking in the glory of becoming Pokémon Masters by ourselves, some of us are out there in a Poké Squad, crushing the Pokémon Go game with our friends.

Naturally, you guys might be exploring Montreal a lot more than normal; and, while Montreal is legit the most amazing city to be in, well, you and your fam might be down for a little change of scenery. If you're down for a little fun, friendly road trip, then I've got great news for you.

Quebec not only has some seriously gorgeous towns for you guys to visit, but tons of places also happen to be hubs of Pokémon activity, so you guys can keep being the very best, like no one ever was.

1. Coaticook, QC

I actually have a theory that Coaticook was created just to be the most fun spot for people in the whole world. Literally. It's got one seriously on point (and pretty famous) ice cream empire, an enchanted forest, and tons more awesomely breathtaking, fun things to do.

Which makes the fact that they've got a pretty solid number of Poké Stops and Gyms all that much better. Grab an ice cream, explore the enchanted forest, and catch yourself some Pokémon.

2. Magog, QC

Horseback riding, spas, wineries, museums, labyrinths, and more? You've got that all in the super charming Quebec town of Magog. It's literally like some sort of paradise... not to mention the beyond beautiful mountain and water views throughout the whole city.

Oh, and the literal tons of Pokémon, just waiting to be caught by you and your squad. What sounds better than a nice day in Magog, and then going beast trying to find your next rare together? Nothing, friends. Absolutely nothing.

3. Trois-Pistoles, QC

I don't even know where to begin with this adorable town. Beaches and forests make for some incredibly gorgeous sceneries, and you can even get yourself to the gorgeous Il Aux Basques island not too far off from the shore. So if your idea of a good time is exploring a seriously beautiful spot, then you guys have found your next vacation destination.

There also just so happens to be a whole lot of Pokémon activity, according to this map. So prepare to explore one incredibly breathtaking town, and catch some rares while you're at it.

4. Carleton-Sur-Mer, QC

This charming Gaspesie town is pretty much the perfect getaway for anyone who's in need of some serious beach time... and some serious fun, too. Boasting a gorgeous beach, waterfalls, lighthouses, sailboat lessons, and more, if you're down to spend some time with friends and have a fantastic time while you're at it, this town should totally be your next stop.

You guys should also prepare to catch some serious Pokémon while you're at it, too. There are a few Poké Stops and gyms situated not too far off from Carleton-sur-Mer's breathtaking Oratory, so get your tourist on and explore it, and once your done, whip out that app.

5. Saint-Godefroi, QC

Beach lovers, rejoice. This one is totally for you. Saint-Godefroi is situated in Eastern Quebec, in the region of Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, so you know straight away that you're in for some good vibes, good views, and good times. Everything about this coastal town is gorgeous, but the beach is especially amazing.

Thankfully, it also happens to host a few Poké Stops and gyms, so you and your friends can strap on those bathing suits, soak up some sun, and get ready to catch some brand new Pokémon.

6. L'Isle Verte, QC

Honestly, if you guys are looking for one seriously breathtaking spot to go visit, then L'Isle Verte is your answer. It kind of feels like some sort of Maritime paradise, with lighthouses, a bird sanctuary, a separate island connected by ferry to the town, beaches, and much, much more.

Plus, according to this map, L'Isle Verte is home to a Pokémon Gym and a Poké Stop, so you and your friends can continue your Pokéventures together, no matter where you are. Sounds like an awesome time? You know it!

7. Saint-Félicien, QC

Looking for some serious fun? Look no further than Quebec's own Saint-Félicien. Featuring a planetarium, a zoo (complete with tigers, grizzly bears, polar bears, and more), a zipline, and more, this spot is sure to satisfy even the most active of people.

Not only that, but Saint-Félicien is also home to some pretty solid Pokémon activity, so you can get yourself out there and explore like a pro.

8. Sherbrooke, QC

For some reason, a lot of people associate Sherbrooke just with Bishop's University - which is fine, but there are so many other great reasons to visit Sherbrooke, as well. This Quebec spot is seriously awesome, with tons of things to do, known for its wine tasting spots, museums, theatres, and more.

And if you guys are also hoping to catch some Pokémon while you're at it, then no worries. Sherbrooke has a huge concentration of Pokémon friendly areas, so if you guys want to inject a little pop of fun into your Pokémon catching adventures, then this is the spot for you.

BONUS: Quebec City, QC

Okay, Quebec City is definitely not hidden. In fact, it's probably one of the most popular spots in the whole province. It's got tons of awesome restaurants, beautiful architecture, and fun things to do, so a little Quebec City getaway with your friends is always an awesome idea.

So why did this spot make the list? Because it's literally rife with Pokémon. A quick glance at the Quebec Pokémon Go map will show you just how many gyms and Poké Stops there are here, meaning that this chill getaway is also perfect for that super dedicated Poké Squad.
