People flock from all over the world to visit these historic and natural sights. Here is a list of some that are known to attract and bring visitors from far and wide to our beautiful Oh Canada.
1. Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta
Why you should go: Located in the very south of the province of Alberta and bordering the U.S state of Montana this UNESCO Heritage Site is truly a wonder to behold. Known for its chain of turquoise lakes, including the large Upper and Middle Waterton lakes, flanked by the Rocky Mountains, you can often spot bison and other wildlife grazing away on a lazy afternoon.
2. Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland
Why you should go: This stunning park is a world heritage site and one of the most stunning natural wonders in the Maritimes of Canada. Some compared the experience of visiting Gros Morne to that of visit the wild nature of Iceland. Don't believe me? On the park's official website it boldly states "unlike any other place on earth". Take a quick look at any photo of this place and you'll be instantly convinced, too.
3. L'Anse Aux Meadows, Newfoundland

Here, you will definitely spot some icebergs. And take in the wild and rugged scenery that is unique to this part of the globe.
4. Niagara Falls, Ontario
Why you should go: The main attraction in the town of Niagara Falls is obviously the falls themselves, but this quaint town straddling the US border is a charm and attraction all on its own. People fly from all over the world to visit this natural gem of Canada. It's a must-see at least once in your life.
5. Hotel De Glace, Quebec
Why you should go: Obviously this is a seasonal attraction. Quebec's ice hotel is only open throughout the winter, however, people do fly from all over the world to visit and stay in this majestic and unique ice castle. There is no experience like it.
6. Old Town Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Why you should go: This historic town is a protected world heritage site, as it's the best example of planned British settlement in Canada. The unique architecture and civic design will, therefore, be preserved. As a result, this little town will forever be frozen in time, so if you're looking for a blast from the past, this is a wonderful place to visit.
7. Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks
Why you should go: The Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is spread out over the Canadian Rockies and is made up of seven parks including four National Parks Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, and YOHO. Winter, fall, spring and summer, tourists flock from all over the world to take in the wild beauty of our gorgeous Canadian forests, rivers, and mountains.
8. Joggins Fossil Cliffs, Nova Scotia
Why you should go: Another world heritage site, here you'll be able to observe the world’s most complete fossil record of life during the “Coal Age” when lush forests covered the area and much of the world's tropics, 300 million years ago.
9. Old Town Quebec City
