A Complete List Of Funding Opportunities For Students From The Government Of Canada

Canada is extremely generous with its students. Tuition is regulated and subsidized and several federal and provincial programs exists to ensure equal access to higher education for all Canadians.
This munificence is especially striking when compared to the greed and predatory behaviour that characterizes student loans and opportunities int the United States.
Students in Canada may also take advantage of several scholarship and grant opportunities from the federal government. Too often, these programs are buried in unnavigable websites — kept out of sight of students who may benefit from them.
To help you out, we've compiled this list of funding opportunities for students in Canada. These programs largely fall into two cateogies: scholarships, which are mostly awarded based on academic merit, and grants, which are mostly awarded based on an assessment of a student's need. All of these programs are currently featured on the government website.
Note that this list focuses on resources for undergraduate and graduate students, and does not include opportunities for postdoctoral applicants. Also not on this list are grants specifically for students with disabilities and students with dependants. Check the government of Canada website for more information.
