The 12th annual Haitian festival called <<Haiti En Folie>> is going down next weekend.
The festival actually has multiple components at various locations, but if you're strictly looking for food you have to attend the <<Foire Culinaire>> which will be held in Parc Lafontaine in the heart of the Plateau.
Also, the Foire Culinaire is officially sponsored by Barbacourt Rhum! There will be tons of awesome cocktails and tropical-style drinks to enjoy, too.
At the food festival, you will be able to sample all the traditional and classic dishes that Haitian cuisine has to offer. That includes griot, tassot, fritay, poulet creole, pikliz, and of course - lots and lots of meat.
Some of the top names in Carribean eats in the city will be at this festival whipping up all these delicious treats for the attendees including Ti-Joe BBQ, Restaurant Sous le Palmier, La Référence Restaurant, La Cayenne Restaurant, Billy Bubbles Montréal, and Les Délices de Patrice.
If you're interested in attending the other parts of the Haiti En Folie festival that include musical performances, entertainment, and dance, you should check out the FREE show at Jardins Gamelin in the Quartier Des Spectacles area on July 25th and 26th. As for the food portion of the festival:
