Here's The List Of Services That Will Be Resuming In Quebec As Of June 1
Good news fell upon Quebec today. The Deputy Premier, Geneviève Guilbault, announced during the public briefing on May 20 that nail salons across the province, except for the ones in Greater Montreal, will be able to reopen as of June 1. Then later, during another conference at 3:30 p.m., government officials Danielle McCann and Jean Boulet announced a much longer list of services that will resume in Quebec on this same date.
Ah yes, the moment we've all been waiting for...
If you've been hoping to see a nutritionist after making chips your main meal for the past two months, the time will soon come.
If the world has you stressed out and you desperately need a massage, it won't be too much longer.
If you haven't been to the dentist in years and realize it's time to make an appointment, the wait is almost over.
The Minister of Health and Social Services reminds everyone that when the following sectors reopen, the employees will have to "take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients."
Premier François Legault outlined some of the services that will gradually by reopening in his recent Instagram post.

During the press conference, McCann described the resuming of many Quebec health care, body, and aesthetic services as "a much-anticipated step that will do a lot of good for a lot of people."
Here's a full list of what private health care services will be available as of June 1 in all of Quebec:
- Dental care
- Oral care
- Chiropractic clinics
- Career orientation
- Social work
- Marital therapy
- Family therapy
- Speech therapy and audiology
- Other forms of alternative or alternative medicine
- Grooming for animals
So yes, your animals will soon be able to get all coiffed again.
Another list of aesthetic and body services that will resume as of June 1 was also announced.
But, this one is for all of Quebec except for Joliette and the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) which includes Montreal, Laval, and parts of Montérégie, Lanaudière, and Laurentides.
It is as follows:
- Hair salons
- Beauty centres
- Manicure and pedicure services
- Hair removal services
- Skincare services
- Tattoo parlours
- Piercing services
So, my fellow Montrealers, it seems that we're going to have to wait a little longer before we can get our nails done.
Stay tuned for more news.
