A Look Inside The Bedrooms Of Women Around The World

A person's bedroom is their most personal space. Your bedroom is the one space in the entirety of a house/apartment that is solely for you to inhabit. A space reserved for a sole individual, bedrooms tend to reflect the personality, interests, and values of a person. Italian photographers Gabriele Galimberti and Edoardo Dilelle use this concept apply it to the entire world, taking photos of women from around the world, each with their own cultural, national, and personal identity.
Titled 'Mirrors and Windows' the photo set embodies individual cultures and peoples in each image, and as a series contrasts the varying values of nations around the world as a whole series. Each bedroom is meant to act as "the mirrors of the history, personality, culture, obsessions and social status of the girls that occupy them, but are also unique windows into these young women’s worlds." Take a look into these mirrors and windows through the photos below.
