A Map Of Montreal's Most Dangerous Boroughs

Montreal's boroughs are very different from one another when it comes to the  cost of living, the people, the culture and even the food.

But they are also very different when it comes to crime. In certain boroughs, you are far more likely to be victim of a crime safer.

For example, in 2016, the neighborhood where you're most likely to get physically attacked was Montreal North, However you were also far less likely to have your stuff stolen than if you lived in the plateau. And it's in Dorval where you're most likely to wake up in morning, only to realize your car has been stolen.

As you can see from this map, the areas with the most crime all seem to be concentrated on the eastern side of the island.

Here's how the rest of the neighborhoods ranked:

  1. East of Old Montreal

  2. Downtown /Mount Royal Park

  3. Centre-Sud

  4. Hochelaga Maisonneuve (West)

  5. Westmount / Ville-Marie (West)

  6. Plateau

  7. Little Italie / Petite Patrie

  8. Dorval

  9. Montreal North

  10. Mercier Hochelaga Maisonneuve (East)
