According to recent statistics, around 1,500 teenage girls become pregnant every year in Quebec, alone. A new Quebec show wants to put a spotlight on this reality, and follow young, pregnant teenagers in their day-to-day lives.
The show, which will air in September on Radio-Canada, was thought up by the same author who brought Quebecers the popular shows "Unité 9" and "Cheval-Serpent." We're intrigued to see how this show will represent teenage pregnancy differently from popular reality shows like "16 and Pregnant."

When asked about the inspiration behind the show, the author, Danielle Trottier, said that she asked herself what matters most to her and how she could represent that as dramatically as possible. She decided that she wanted to talk about children and "Toute la Vie" was born.
@off_tlmepThe show is centered around the high school École Marie-Labrecque, an institution that is designed for young teenage moms and girls who are pregnant. It will follow 6 young pregnant women and young moms between the ages of 12 and 17, as well as teachers and counsellors. The show will explore the challenges and complications of motherhood.
The author hopes that the show will sensitize audiences to the plights of young mothers. She stated in an interview that she wants to educate viewers on how, as a society, we can do more to help young mothers.

The show will deal with difficult topics such as hyper-sexualisation, poor self-esteem, eating disorders, abandonment, and much more.
