It was a dream come true when Canadians were promised that spring was just a few weeks away. We might have already begun to wear our spring outfits, plan more outings across the country, and even say goodbye to the miserable winter weather. Unfortunately, it looks like we all spoke a bit too soon, as the conditions across Canada are expected to take a turn for the worst.
Yes, a polar vortex is on its way towards the country and is expected to first hit the west coast of Canada later this week. Temperatures are predicted to be even colder than what's typically seen in January, meaning it's time to once again say goodbye to an sign of spring approaching.

TL;DR The Weather Network is warning of another polar vortex on its way to Canada later this week. Both Quebec and Ontario will be seeing the frigid temperatures, up to 10 degrees colder than normal, by Tuesday and Wednesday. More details below.
The first signs of the frigid weather will be in western Canada, spanning from B.C. to Saskatchewan. Frigid temperatures will spread east of Canada, with freezing temperatures hitting both Ontario and Quebec by Tuesday and Wednesday.
Expect temperatures to be 10 to 15 degrees colder than normal for March. Luckily, the cold streak isn't as long as we've seen in the past. The severe cold will end later this week, although it's expected that most of Canada will be 5 to 10 degrees colder than normal for a 10-day period.
@gonzo64_Arctic air will linger over most of the country for the first half of March, with milder weather on its way by the end of the month. So, yes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
