It seems like every time we hear about an eclipse in Montreal, it's lunar.
Let's face it, a lunar eclipse may be cool but it happens at night, so you're probably sleeping. But solar eclipses are spectacular, and you'll be able to see one this summer.

On Monday August 21st, Planet Earth will experience a total solar eclipse.
The moon will be passing between the earth and the sun, which means the sun will be totally blacked out.
At its peak, the eclipse will last up to 2 minutes and 41.6 seconds, and although the best visibility points are located in the United States, in Montreal, the sun will be covered up to 90%.
