You Can Watch A Virtual Quebec Drag Show At 8 p.m. Tonight

This is the perfect way to support local artists without needing to leave your home!
You Can Watch A Virtual Quebec Drag Show At 8 p.m. Tonight

At a time when precautionary measures require us to avoid going out, artists, local businesses and workers must find creative ways to continue to earn a living — even if they depend on audience participation. To do so, many have turned to the online world. And this is the case for the group of artists who are offering a virtual Quebec drag show tonight.

That's right, if you've finished every season of RuPaul's Drag Race already, and you find yourself missing such form of entertainment — these drag queens are not going to let you down. And the best part is, they're going to keep our spirits up from the comfort of their own homes, too.

In order to raise funds and make a little profit while the bars and clubs where they usually perform are closed, members of Quebec's drag community have organized a virtual performance for us — and all contributions are voluntary.

So, it's from their homes that these queens will perform numbers for your entertainment. Talk about the proper way to practice social distancing!

An Indiegogo account has been set up for this virtual show, and the profits will be divided among the participating drag queens.

So really — it's a win-win situation for everyone! You have a live show to listen to tonight, you get a better insight into the local drag scene, and these queens can still work and make money despite the current COVID-19 outbreak.

The flamboyant Rita Baga will be volunteering to take care of the animation of the show, and about fifteen drag queens are on the program.

To take part, all you have to do is make a donation and present yourself on the event's Facebook page before the show, which starts at 8 p.m.
