A lot of movies have been filmed in Montreal over the years, but when movie stars are busy working here, they don't always take the time to explore our amazing city.

But that's not the case for Adam Sandler who is in town filming a new Netflix movie called Murder Mystery with Jennifer Aniston.

He's been spotted filming around town of course, but he's also been seen eating a few different restaurants in downtown Montreal.  And yesterday, he was at the YMCA playing basketball and the story is pretty awesome.

After finishing his workout, Francois Bonja decided to play a quick 15 minutes of basketball. There were only 5 people on the court and Francois spotted a man that looked an awful lot like mustachioed Adam Sandler.

He started asking other people on the court if it was actually him and everyone laughed because the man did in fact look exactly like Adam Sandler.

Francois eventually walked up to him and asked him if he was really Adam Sandler or just a Doppelgänger, to which Sandler replied"Yep, that's me."

Francois asked for a picture and whether Sandler would like to play a little one-on-one. Sandler answered "Only if you got cash".

Francois bet Sandler $200 and actually ended up winning the game 11-7.

Before Sandler left he mentioned how he thought Montreal was one of the best places in the world, and honestly we 're going to have to agree with him on that one.

Have had any weird encounters with movie stars in Montreal? Let us know about it!
