While most of the world sees Canadians as mild-mannered and kind, we all know deep down all that politeness often erupts in a burst of passive-aggression.
Or, otherwise, a slow-burning, seething rage that rears its ugly head at the slightest joke or barb.
So it's no surprise that Vice was able to easily rank the Canadian provinces on their likelihood to get offended. And it's even less surprising that Alberta took the top spot.
Take a look at where the rest of the provinces ranked on this definitive list of outraged Canadians.
TL;DR Vice ranked all the Canadian provinces and - don't be pissed - but Alberta and Quebec topped the list.
These guys are used to it. All part of the price of being the centre of the universe. There isn't joke out there that Ontarians haven't heard, so keep 'em comin',
People in Manitoba don't have time to be offended by anything anyone says, they're too busy being offended by the elements all around them.
8. New Brunswick
Don't know what could possibly be happening in New Brunswick that anyone could take offence with or be offended by...
7. British Columbia
Cue the obvious weed joke here. Although, seriously, have you tried CBD? Cause that shit will chill you right out.
While they've got the ever-chill Manitoba to the east, Saskatchewan is also, unfortunately, neighbours with Alberta so... you do the math.
5. Nova Scotia
The raging sea, the nearly uninhabitable influx of students every year... it's easy to see why Scotians are easy to get a rise out of. After a couple Keiths, though? Friendly as a Retriever.
4. Prince Edward Island
So misunderstood, so maligned, it's no surprise that the Islanders are so uppity. Just try saying you were "in" P.E.I and see what kind of reaction you get. (It's "on" P.E.I!!!!)
3. Newfoundland and Labrador
I mean, after all the Newfie jokes all the time, are we surprised these guys are tired of our shit? Plus, they've got icebergs floating around making it winter well into May, so... ya we get the grump here.
Maybe Quebecois people are offended so easily because they just don't understand the jokes?!? Also, with so many Canadians saying we don't need them or their language, it's understandable why they're always on the defence .
