Canada isn't just the second largest country in the world, it's also the most stunning place in the world! The main reason being that all ten provinces and three territories share stunning natural wonders.
Some provinces are actually considered more beautiful than others, so I've decided to rank them based on my own personal experiences and opinions. Feel free to comment your ranking down below!
13. Northwest Territories
Level of Beauty: 5/10
Last but not least, we have the beautiful Northwest Territories. They have gorgeous views of the Northern Lights right over the waters of Great Slave Lake! Plus Nahanni National Park happens to be the most diverse in all of Canada!
12. Nova Scotia
Level of Beauty: 5.2/10
Nova Scotia is known for its beautiful lighthouses and islands. I mean, how iconic is Cape Breton in all its splendour?! And we can't forget about Peggy's Cove, with its picturesque lighthouses and amazing seafood that will blow your mind!
Level of Beauty: 5.5/10
Saskatchewan is incredibly lovely, probably more than you'd think! The Grasslands National Park is a vast open land where you can enjoy the most wonderful sunsets while coyotes howl. Plus, Castle Butte offers some of the most gorgeous views of the badlands.
10. New Brunswick
Level of Beauty: 6/10
We can't just leave New Brunswick out of the running! The Bay of Fundy is actually considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of Canada. But it isn’t only for beautiful pictures, it’s also great for sea kayaking, hiking, whale watching, three-day canoe trips, and walking on the ocean floor. Campobello Island is another N.B. showstopper!
Level of Beauty: 6.5/10
You might thinkthat Nunavut is just a bunch of nothing - but you'd be totally and utterly WRONG! Boasting the incredible Mount Thor and Baffin Island, Nunavut is one spectacular territory. Oh, and of course we can't forget those adorable polar bears!
Level of Beauty: 7/10
The Yukon territory definitely adds to Canada's wow factor! Two reasons being Kluane Lake and the Yukon Suspension Bridge. Kluane Lake has the clearest water, perfect for taking a refreshing dip. The Yukon Suspension Bridge offers amazing views of the Tutshi River while you're suspended over fifty feet in the air!
7. Prince Edward Island
Level of Beauty: 7.5/10
P.E.I. is one hell of a Canadian province! Not only is it surrounded at each end by gorgeous water, but it also has beautiful beaches! One of its most renowned beaches is, of course, Cavendish Beach. While you may find this beach superb, you'll be shocked by Stanhope, with its stunning lighthouses! P.E.I. will basically take your breath away.
6. Newfoundland and Labrador
Level of Beauty: 8/10
Newfoundland and Labrador may seem pretty secluded, but it's actually one of Canada's most stunning provinces. Gros Morne National Park is definitely a sight to see in Newfoundland. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! Just as beautiful as Gros Morne National Park is Fogo Island. You can rent a small house and enjoy the majestic view of the open waters. While you're at it, why not enjoy the beauty of Twillingate, where you can go whale watching?
Level of Beauty: 8.5/10
Our home! Quebec isn't just beautiful because of Montreal; it's also home to some amazing wonders. The Chutes-de-la-Chaudiere is just one of Quebec's beautiful waterfalls. In addition, Quebec is home to Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, a gorgeous park that features some of the deepest gorges east of the Rockies. And, of course, we can't forget about the Emerald River, which features clear blue water. Oh, and Tadoussac definitely contributes to our province's beauty with its whale-watching opportunities.
Level of Beauty: 8.5/10
Our beloved neighbour Ontario may be overshadowed by its well-known big city, but we can't forget about all of its natural beauties! Recently, Bruce Peninsula National Park has become pretty famous. Let me tell you: It. Is. Stunning! Ontario also has gorgeous islands such as Bathtub Island and Flower Pot Island. You can even check out the Bonnechere Caves, which are pretty cool and make Ontario extra beautiful.
Level of Beauty: 9/10
Manitoba might be chilly, but it sure is darn beautiful! The main reason being the polar bears and Northern Lights. Some of the most exquisite places include Churchill and Wapusk National Park. Dress warm and enjoy the beauty.
2. British Columbia
Level of Beauty: 9.5/10
British Columbia is definitely a close runner-up. Not only does it have stunning lakes, but it even has a natural hot spring at Pebble Creek called the "Keyhole Hot Springs." Another beautiful location is the Great Bear Rainforest, where you can paddleboard your worries away. One of the most unreal locations actually happens to be the Tonquin Trail, over 3 km of pure beauty and amazing beaches.
Level of Beauty: 10/10
Alberta sure is Canada's most beautiful province! The main reason being that Alberta is home to Moraine Lake, located in Banff National Park. The clear blue water is absolutely stunning, and if you wander around, you can find the Johnston Canyon, which is just as beautiful as the lake! But we can't forget one of Alberta's main attractions, the Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park. It offers incredible views and a great learning experience. The park isn’t only about learning, either: It's got hiking, kayaking, rock-art tours, and much more!
