Thief Caught On Camera Stealing Donation Box From Quebec Animal Shelter

The holidays are typically known as a time for giving, but apparently not for everyone. While some people spend this season volunteering, it's also a common time for stealing. And so, as it goes every year, some Grinches around us seem to be missing a whole lot of empathy while Christmas rolls around. I'd personally like to give the 2019 Grinch title to the thief who was caught on camera stealing from the donation box at La Société protectrice des animaux (SPA) de Québec, an animal shelter.
According to L'actualité, the entire amount that the thief managed to steal is uncertain, but it was definitely at least a few hundred dollars. The shelter's security alarm is said to have gone off around 11:40 p.m. Sunday night, and everything was caught on camera.
And to make matters worse, it wasn't just the contents inside one of the donation boxes that was stolen - it was of two.
The manager explained that the donations given to the SPA de Québec are used to support the animals that come into the shelter, which ranges from sterilizing them to helping them get adopted. The shelter was also in the midst of raising money to help with renovations for the grounds.
The photos exposing the thief going into the shelter and stealing money last night were released to the public on the SPA de Québec's Facebook page this morning.
Translation: "An unethical individual entered the SPA last night to steal the contents of the donation boxes. This person will have quite a surprise: our premises are constantly monitored by a camera. We're waiting for the police to visit. In the middle of a fundraising campaign and in a more difficult moment... we are deeply saddened this morning!"
Many people have left comments under the SPA de Québec's post saying that they have left donations, that they are extremely sad or angry at the situation, and they thank the organization for all that it does for animals.

Some went into serious detail about how unethical it was for the thief to steal from an animal shelter... And mentioning that there are many other ways to make money rather than stealing.
Although we are sure that the police have been made aware of the situation, nothing has yet been mentioned about having caught the thief.
Because of this, some people in the page's Facebook comments are giving the SPA de Québec advice on ways to uncover who the thief is, with extreme hope that they will be caught and rightfully persecuted.
