Paul Deneve, CEO of high- end fashion brand, Yves Saint Laurent has just been hired by Apple to work on designs for "special projects".

As slick as Apple products are, the brand is receiving continuous competition from its rivals that are creating lines of elegant products- such as Samsung and Google.

Yves Saint Laurent, a luxurious French brand is known for its $1000 stiletto shoes and $4000 leather cocktail dresses.

Although news on plans for their collaboration has not yet been revealed, its not doubt that Deneve will boost Apple's designs even further.

Rumor has it, Apple applied for a trademark for a new product called "iWatch" in Japan, which suggests plans for designing a smart wristwatch. Perhaps Yves Saint Laurent will play a part in designing the watch- but news for the project merger is still underway.
