Concordia University is Hosting A Free "Video Game Festival”

Gaming is on Montreal's centre stage this week thanks to Montreal Joue, the city's annual interdisciplinary gaming event, and Concordia University is set to become a hub for electronic entertainment in the festival's lineup.

Because a place of learning can also be a place to play video games, Concordia is transforming the 11th floor of the EV building into a veritable video game festival, dubbed ARCADE 11.

Organized by the Technoculture,Art and Games (TAG) Research Centre, ARCADE 11 is going to be a three-day long event dedicated to showcasing indie and experimental video games made by both local and international creators.

You'll be able to play some of the most compelling (and altogether strange) video games that can't be found anywhere else, all while getting the chance to meet video game developers, game scholars/journalists, and other professionals in the gaming industry.

ARCADE 11 at Concordia University begins today and runs until March 4th. For more information, head to the official Facebook event page here, and to check out some of the games that are in store for you at ARCADE 11, check out some of the trailers below.
