1. Bistro K2
Bistro K2 is fairly new to Montreal's all you can eat sushi scene, but it's already making huge waves. Of course, the main reason for this is their awesome food. Firstly, their menu is super varied - so whatever you're in the mood for, they've got your back. Plus, sprinkled among everyone's favourite classic sushi dishes and hot food options are some more unique surprises, like their balsamic beef sushi roll, or their grilled scallop. Put this all together with fresh, delicious, quality ingredients and an awesome ambiance, and you've got the perfect recipe for your new favourite sushi spot.
2. Sushi Palace
No lie, I would live at Sushi Palace if they allowed me to. I've tried three of their locations so far, and each one has been amazing - but their Longueuil location is quite possibly my go-to sushi buffet spot. Is it because of their super friendly service? Of course. Is it because of their casual yet chique ambiance? You bet. Is it because of their mouthwateringly amazing food? Um, yeah, definitely. They offer some seriously delicious, fresh sushi options; and their cuisine is, in a word, mindblowing. Protip: try the red curry beef dish. It's awesome, trust.
3. Hasu
Okay, where do I even start with Hasu? First of all, their super awesome ambiance makes Hasu an ideal place for - well, for literally anything. A date; a girl's night out; a dinner with the family; whatever you can think of, you've got a solid place in Hasu. Of course, their food has a lot to do with this, too. Always fresh, with high-quality ingredients and flavours that blend together almost too perfectly, Hasu has pretty much cracked the awesome food/awesome ambiance/awesome prices trifecta. Seeing as this all you can eat sushi spot is in the West Island, it might be a little bit of a drive for some of us. But trust, it's way, way worth it. Get yourselves there now, friends, and thank me later.
4. Sushi Crystal
4075 Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest
First of all, can we talk about the presentation at Sushi Crystal? Because the way they plate their sushi is lowkey gorgeous. Seriously, if it didn't taste so good, you'd feel a little bit bad about eating it. But thankfully, their food is so awesome that you feel zero guilt going beast on a plate of their fresh and yummy sushi rolls, or on any of their delicious hot dishes. Protip: their sashimi is literally delicious. Thick chunks of melt-in-your-mouth, flavourful, fresh fish? Yeah, I'm totally there for that.
5. Toro Sushi
Situated right in front of Concordia University's Hall building, Toro is also one of Montreal's newer sushi buffet spots. But trust me when I say that the food here is top notch. They offer a hugely varied menus for both dinner and lunch, and their food is always served up fresh and flavourful. Although everything on their menu is a complete hit, if you're a fan of tartare, you should totally try theirs - it's served up in bite-sized portions on chips, for a tiny, fresh, crispy kick to your meal.
6. Sushi St-Jean
Sushi St-Jean is super popular in the West Island, and for one very good reason: their sushi is on point. The quality of their food is top notch; their sushi choices are always super fresh, and so delicious that even the rice tastes amazing. Put this all together with their casual, trendy atmosphere; their easy ordering system featuring tablets (!!), and their super fair prices, and you've got one sushi establishment that's seriously winning.
7. Phoenix Oriental
7230 Boulevard Maurice-Duplessis
This sushi place is located in the East End/RDP, meaning it might be out of the way for some of us - but trust me when I say that it's well worth the travel time, because at the end of it, you'll be getting a sushi feast like no other. Phoenix's sushi buffet is offered at night, and not only are their sushi options super fresh and tasty, but their cuisine choices? The stuff of legends, trust me. Get there for your next AYCE sushi night, friends, and prepare to be amazed.
8. Sushi Plus
5940 Chemin de la Cรดte-des-Neiges | 1248 Avenue Beaumont
Alright, Sushi Plus is awesome. Seriously. First of all, they've got a pretty huge and varied menu, meaning that if you're going with friends, everyone's going to get exactly what they're in the mood for. Second of all, their food? Yeah. Amazing. Their sushi dishes are fresh, beautifully presented, and oh-so delicious; and their hot dishes? OMG. Out of this world awesome, with their tempura dishes being particularly on point. Don't walk their for your next all you can eat sushi feast, friends. Run there. Trust me.
9. Odaki
Who here likes sushi-go-rounds? Okay, that's not what they're called; actually, I'm pretty sure that was the name of a game from the early 2000s, possibly. But my point with all of this is that Odaki operates with a sushi conveyor belt, meaning that if you choose the all you can eat option, you'll be able to grab some delicious rolls off the belt. Of course, the conveyor belt isn't the only awesome thing about Odaki. Featuing a huge menu with some super unique sushi options, and some seriously delicious choices over on the cuisine side of the menu, there's literally no way you can go wrong making Odaki your next dinner spot. Winning? Winning.
10. Akiko Sushi
5701 Chemin de la Cรดte-des-Neiges
Alright, seriously, Akiko is straight up amazing. This place gets everything right, to be honest: their food is always fresh and bursting with flavour, their service is always friendly, and their prices? Yeah, way more than fair. Although everything at Akiko is pretty much all the AYCE sushi goals, try their sushi pizza. It's seriously the stuff of legends.
